After about 2 hours of discussing all of the details of the sale with her and her sales manager we agreed on a cash sale and a final price. I was making arrangements to fly to Ft. Lauderdale and drive home with the vehicle when another salesperson named Pierre called. He asked about my experience that morning and sent me an invoice for the vehicle that was $4,500 more than the price I had already agreed on that morning. We tried again to negotiate a final price for another couple of hours between Pierre, his sales manager, and myself, I even mentioned that I had the previously agreed on final price in a text message from Karla but they were unwilling to budge from a price just $250 higher. I don’t know if this review will fall on deaf ears but I feel the need to express myself. Self-centered, Narcissistic, Condescending, Sexist and arrogant is an understatement of how I can best describe m feel the need to express myself. Self-centered, Narcissistic, Condescending, Sexist and arrogant is an understatement of how I can best describe my disappointing and lackluster experience at Gunther Volkswagen of Coconut Creek. I was interested in selling my VW Atlas so I decided to give Gunther Volkswagen of Coconut Creek a try. I was quickly greeted by the first associate named Chris Sargent who was extremely helpful. After he gave me the buyout price, he brought to my attention a few errors on the Carfax. He advised me to bring the car back once the Carfax was updated to receive a higher appraisal value. Carlos Jimenez was the one who appraised the car that day. I came back two weeks later and Chris Sargent was out sick which led me to the second associate named EDUARDO ESPARZA. He aggressively drove my vehicle to the back of the dealership to get it appraised again and asked me for my car registration which seemed weird because the first associate didn’t do either. Eduardo appraised my VW Atlas for 15% less than what the first associate had offered me even after I had corrected the Carfax. His excuse was due to the war in Ukraine/Russia which caused the car values to drop. I was so upset from his response that I left without my registration and I had to walk to the back to get my car. He didn’t even have the courtesy in bringing the car back around to the front for me and my kids. Two days later, I went back to pick up my registration which he forgot to return and he informed me that he will match the car max appraisal if I brought it to him. After agreeing on the buyout Price with Eduardo on the phone, he urged me to come and do the deal. On my way to the dealership, he called me and changed the buyout price because he said he miscalculated the price which is total xx. I was livid. I demanded to talk to the finance manager while I could hear him in the background. Eduardo denied per request of the finance manager. The finance manager didn’t have the face to speak to me over the phone. I requested a name and their response was “No” and I asked why and they replied back with “IT IS WHAT IT IS”. What type of customer service is that?! Since the mysterious financial manager went missing upon my arrival, I succumbed to Moe Ali, a new car sales manager, who didn’t help at all. He basically kicked me out by informing me to take my business elsewhere. The following day Moe Ezzine, sales associate, contacted me offering to appraise my car for a 3rd TIME or to take it back to car max AGAIN for a reappraisal so they could price match it after a manager (Moe Ali) reassured me multiple times that they don’t CarMax Price Match. So, my question is…Do they CarMax Price match or not? Because Moe Ezzine (Sales Associate) was sent by Moe Ali (New Car Sales Manager) which to my understanding doesn’t deal with used car sales. Where is Eduardo Esparza??? Disappeared just like the mysterious finance manager. I inform MOE Ezzine that my time is valuable and as a single mother of two kids, I didn’t have the luxury of coming and going as if I had unlimited free time available. In Conclusion, I demanded Moe Ezzine to either honor the deal that Eduardo originally offered me OR I would leave a Negative Review due to the fact that no manager had the xxxxx to show face. Till this day NO ONE from Gunther Volkswagen of Coconut Creek has contacted me. I ended up taking my business to Rick Case VW. They appraised my car in 5 minutes, offered me $4,000 more for my trade and even Upgraded to Top of the Line Atlas just because of their superior customer service. No wonder Rick Case VW is America’s #1 Volume Dealer in the Nation! More

Very dishonest and deceptive experience with Larson, one of the twins who works at the dealership. We researched 4 new cars that we wanted to consider purchasing in our price range. Car 1 - we were told was from another dealer and was in service for a fuel pump and would never be sold. Car 2 and 3 were both sold hours before we arrived, and we were then told that car 4 did not exist after a fellow employee, Colin, had told us it was in stock on the premises 30 minutes before our arrival to the dealership. When I questioned Larson about the discrepancy in information from what he was saying, and what his colleague shared, his tone became rude and confrontational. I’m addition to the bait and switch to try to sell us cars above our budget, this dealership charges bogus electronic filing fees, doc fees, so save yourself the headache and work with another dealership that’s honest and doesn’t have dealer fees. Research the state laws on these fees, and find dealers that don’t add them on. (Even went to Gunther Delray and shared our experience and an employee there told us he wasn’t surprised, because the twins Larson and (I believe Hansen) are notorious for lying). More

She said I could pick up my car because they are short-handed and she didn't know when they could look at it. My car was in the same spot we're I dropped it off so I assume the car never even made it to the shop. This dealership at one time did provide excellent service no longer. More

During the negotiation I asked him for a lower monthly payment and he agreed... and then I realized that to do that he increased the number of months of the loan without telling. He didn't know anything about the car infotainment and the vehicle's characteristics and technical specs. He tried to sell me a car that was in Daytona Beach saying that it was the color interior I wanted, and it wasn't!!! A real bad experience (again) with a car dealer. And when I told him that I wasn't buy the car from Gunther, he then offered me the deal I asked before. That's not the way you do clean business. Then he sent me a message that they can't give what I asked... ???? I was the one who told him that I wasn't buy the car from them!!!!! It was a bad experience. Run away from Louis and Gunther Volvo. Finally I bought an ever more expensive version from Weston Volvo. Nikolaus was a great, transparent and fair. He navigated smoothly through the process and we both did a fair business. Please, learn from bad experiences. We need to stop dealers abused and old dirty practices. Thank you! More
I was assured by the manager Mo and Rob at Gunther of Coconut Creek and per my lease contract that if I wanted to buy the car at lease end would have to only pay the residual plus taxes, registration and Coconut Creek and per my lease contract that if I wanted to buy the car at lease end would have to only pay the residual plus taxes, registration and plate transfer. When I went to purchase the car the salesman Larson said I would also have to pay $959.00 dealer fee, $500.00 Certfication fee, $299 Guarantee fee and a $195.00 inspection fee in addition. Needless to say I was very upset since I was promised by the manager there were no other fees if I buy it out. The salesman said “They have to make a profit since they could make more if I turned it in and they resold the car”. Ithe attorney general office also told me when I called to complain about this that they have had several complaints about their dealership in the last 2 weeks. Their dishonesty and lack of ethics in not honoring their word is appalling. If anyone buys from their many dealerships be prepared to get ripped off and lied to. More
