I signed the lease agreement with this dealer August 12th 2013. From the first day I had only problems with them. My sales person was Larson Ennai. First, I was promised full tank of fuel with my purchase, n 2013. From the first day I had only problems with them. My sales person was Larson Ennai. First, I was promised full tank of fuel with my purchase, not true, after I left a dealer my first stop was at the gas station, because the tank was empty. Later, Larson saw me driving on the street, and he called to let me know, that I can come for a gas anytime. Very nice, I came after 1 week, and told him that I still didn't receive the vehicle registration. So,I was not able to drive my car for one week, because they send the registration to the wrong address. I had to use a company's car. I also mentioned to him, that small part is missing at the front of the car and driver's window is not working. He promised to order parts and let me know when I should bring car for the service. After one month, I called and left a message, no answer. After two weeks, I called again, and he said, that he forgot to order parts, and he will take care of this immediately. No answer for another month. I have no idea, why I was ignored, he never returned my phone calls, so I called his manager. Finally I received a phone call from Larson Ennai and the service was set up for the 20th of December 2013, after 4 months waiting! I brought my car to the service, and service advisor, Jason Heminger, said, that I have to wait, because they need to order a part for the driver's window?! Why? I thought it was already there. He didn't offer me a car, so, again I was forced to use the company's car. My vehicle was in the service for another week. I complained to Service Manager, and finally my car was returned to me fixed. I placed my review on their Website, wanted to share with other people my bad experience with this company, but the next day my review was deleted, of course, why not, nothing pleasant was said. Very very poor service! They were nice to me only until I signed the lease agreement, after, nobody carried. Unethical business bahavior. More

My recent leasing experience at Gunther was superlative in all ways primarily because of the care, attention and professionalism of John Shorter. This was my first time leasing a vehicle in many years and in all ways primarily because of the care, attention and professionalism of John Shorter. This was my first time leasing a vehicle in many years and John was extremely patient in answering all my questions and educating me as a new lessee. I had read Gunther consumer reviews online and John's name kept coming up, so I called and made an appointment with him specifically. I was not disappointed. The time and attention John took with me to make sure I was totally comfortable, not only with the deal, but also with all the bells and whistles of my new Eos, was over the top. I would unequivocally recommend buying or leasing a vehicle at Gunther Coconut Creek and most importantly, asking for John Shorter as your sales person. More

I would most definitely recommend them and specially John Shorter to anyone looking for a great new or used VW. More

Volkswagen is just pumping cars out now, attention to quality on exterior and cabin quality is second to none but as far as the engine, drive train components and safety they are put in the back seat. I quality on exterior and cabin quality is second to none but as far as the engine, drive train components and safety they are put in the back seat. I had a problem arise with my 2010 Passat CC a leak sprang up in the radiator, the side was splitting. When I contacted VW Customer Care they offered to pay for parts as the warranty had just expired conveniently enough, however since I had the car in for a idiot light for the low water level prior to the expiration they met me halfway. When I tell you how much my portion was you wouldn't believe me. I paid the service ad went on my way. After a few days another problem cropped up, the wife was crossing a busy intersection and the car stalled which resulted in a near tragic accident. Of course it was now a fuel pump I would have to replace, VW met me half way graciously with this repair however if I told you what my half was you wouldn't believe me. A day or so later the car began shifting erratically and after calls to the service advisor I am now told that the transmission may need to be replaced, are you kidding me?! ANYWAY, at this point all of these issues that I am faced with are known issues with VW about their vehicals and if you dig around on the internet you will see many similar complaints relating to fuel pumps, transmission shifting, electronics and stalling issues and I will not recommend this dealer for their service dept as they're just taking shots fixing at the problems and in the process they are creating new ones along the way, but hey, thats the way we create our revenue stream, off our customer base, it's all about repeat service which is the number one revenue generator for a car dealership, fix one problem and create another and then deny all responsibility for being involved in creating another one, beware of this dealership and their service department and by all means look real close at VW and their complaints on the Internet before you buy one to begin with. Our service advisor was top notch, real concerned for our perdiciment and in my opinion to good a guy to work for this dealership. In the end this car ran like a top till their service dept played around with it fixing the radiator, now it is costing me an arm and a leg to fix things which in my opinion they created fumbling around in the engine compartment. I was in the market for a car and was recommended to ask for John Shorter at Gunther VW in Coconut Creek. Best car shopping experience! He was very nice, down to earth and very knowledgeable in explaining for John Shorter at Gunther VW in Coconut Creek. Best car shopping experience! He was very nice, down to earth and very knowledgeable in explaining the difference between leasing and buying. He was not pushy or "salesy" which was refreshing! He really worked hard to get me a fair deal along with the Finance Manager on my car of choice the 2014 Passat and I was very pleased. He was completely focused on me the entire process and also was very thorough in showing me how the Passat dash works. I went away happy about both my new car and the experience! I would be very comfortable recommending John Shorter and Gunther to any friend or associate. More
I just happened to read another customer's review of John Shorter before starting this and I couldn't agree more with what she wrote. I too leased a Passat yesterday and I have to say, without a doubt John Shorter before starting this and I couldn't agree more with what she wrote. I too leased a Passat yesterday and I have to say, without a doubt that this was the absolute best buying experience that I have ever had at a dealership. Being a married male in my upper fifties, I can tell you that I have bought/leased numerous vehicles over the years and never has the experience been more pleasant than this, from start to finish. I'll use present tense as I'm confident that John has a lot of mileage left! He is highly knowledgeable about the vehicles, the programs, the manufacturing process, and on and on. He is also 110% customer service driven. No detail was too small, and he covered everything about the vehicle and every question that my wife and I brought up. Unfortunately for VW, they cannot clone John. There is no hard sell at all and he is more of a personal consultant. I just can't say enough about the experience. Oh, by the way, the car is fantastic too. I decided that I needed a change of pace, so I traded my 2010 CC for the 2014 Passat SEL. The performance, styling, etc. of the car is great so far, as I am confident that it will be that way, right up until when the time comes again to think about the next vehicle. I sure hope that John will not have opted to retire by then. More
I bought my 2010 golf from this Gunther Volkswagen. The sales were amazing. The service on the other hand, has a lot to be desired. I brought my car in several times for service and several times mention sales were amazing. The service on the other hand, has a lot to be desired. I brought my car in several times for service and several times mentioned a concern about a noise coming from the passenger side tire area. This last time I brought it in, it was finally addressed. But when I asked why it was not taken care of earlier, I was told that I had never said anything about it. Which is a lie. I also came in because my driver side visor had spontaneously fallen out of the ceiling. When I asked why that wasn't fixed, I was told again that I didn't say anything! Another lie. It is obvious to me that no safety inspection is being completed and that they care very little for their customers. Very disappointed. I would not buy another car from here and would advise others to do the same. More
I bought a Certified VW from Gunther of Coconut Creek. Four months later the paint was pealing off. The VW corporate representative said Gunther should be responsible. Gunther told me "you bought a used Four months later the paint was pealing off. The VW corporate representative said Gunther should be responsible. Gunther told me "you bought a used car, sorry." They also told me that the Certified Warranty covered everything but normal wear and tear. Not true! Watch out for Gunther. More
