My first thoughts of buying a Honda were not good or accurate. The thought of buying a NEW car was not on my radar. I actually went to go see a used Insight that my wife had initially called to get inf accurate. The thought of buying a NEW car was not on my radar. My wife spoke with John Starnes when she called and this is the salesperson I worked with. John is an outstanding individual and salesperson. Gunn's non-pressured One Simple Price arrangement removed the overbearing sales approach. John was very respectful of my criteria and needs. He was very knowledgable and informative. I was blown away when he told me I could get a new Civic in the price range I was working with. I test drove the Civic and was sold by its performance and gas mileage. We were trading in a 2008 gas guzzling truck for a high mile per gallon car. The car was for my wife and she wanted a hatchback, so the Insight was in competition with 3 other hatchbacks we had test driven. Gunn's reputation, non-pressure sales approach, John's genuine attention to our needs, the overall Gunn Honda dealership commitment to the customer gave us plenty of peace about choosing the Insight. Took my daughter in to purchase her first New car. Our salesman told us he had just started on his own. He listened to what we told him we wanted & showed us exactly what we were looking for. Showed us the service department & explained to my daughter how and where to bring the car in for service. He also explained to her she had a Team assigned to her.Osburn,the finance man saved us quite a bit of money. We walked in pre-approved & gave us a better rate than the bank.Give him a gold star too. Not only did he save us money,the process was enjoyable & professional.We had gone to two other dealerships & no comparison. Spoke to the sales manager & he went over a few things about Honda & Gunn that impressed her.My daughter said , Not that's how its done.She is sooo happy with the whole experience & her new civic.Thank you! Received personal, hand-written letter from Jed and decided to see what he had to offer. We were looking to trade-in two one-owner cars for a cross-over type vehicle as we down-size our life style. We went to the dealership, told Jed what we were looking for and he showed us what was available. We test drove a 2011 CRV and liked it very much. The dealership checked out both of our trade-ins and gave us, by far, the best trade-in values of any of the dealers we visited. Jed's customer service and the car sold us on Gunn Honda and to date, the experience has been better than expected. I was told one price one day and another price at purchase time. I was told one warranty in the morning and another in the evening at purchase time. I was told I would be accommodated because of appointments but was left stranded once for an hour and once for 20 minutes. I was told that my handicap license plates could be transferred and then at purchase time that they could not. Because I had planned to purchase the vehicle (before all the above discrepancies came to light), I no longer had a vehicle in which to leave the dealership and had to find someone to pick me up. It was a very disappointing and stressful experience. They're very polite people but I advise any Gunn customer to get EVERYTHING in writing (and I mean everything) BEFORE you spend a whole day working with Gunn Honda on a used car purchase. More
