Review of Groove Subaru and the Cross Trek This is a review of the Subaru 2019 Cross Trek, and a review of the Groove Subaru dealership on South Broadway in Englewood Colorado. I can’t speak hi This is a review of the Subaru 2019 Cross Trek, and a review of the Groove Subaru dealership on South Broadway in Englewood Colorado. I can’t speak highly enough of the Cross Trek for anybody driving in the snow country of Colorado. As far as Groove Subaru goes, James Smith was awesome to work with, very straightforward and we got things done efficiently. James even gave me a ride back to my office at 7:00 at night in order for me to swap cars. I received a good response from several dealers through True Car.com but Groove Subaru and the internet sales person James Smith were quick to respond and to find the right car along with discounting it to beat the competition. I bought my Ford F-250 last fall this way and Groove again was the most competitive. I don’t like messing around so whoever comes in with the best offer gets my business. As far as the car itself, I have driven off-road vehicles since I was 16 years old and have plenty of experiences in mud, snow and other rather tough situations. My other car is a 2018 Ford F250, a 4 inch lift, and a turbo diesel engine. It kicks butt in the mountains. Unfortunately, that truck is in the shop after getting T-boned by another driver. I bought the Cross Trek for commuting and for mountain travel when I elect not to take my truck. I bought this car on Monday night, put Bridgestone Blizzak tires on it on Tuesday night, and drove over Berthoud Pass in a snow storm on Wednesday night. Between the all-wheel-drive, great snow tires, and the ability to put the car in manual shifting mode and using the paddle shifts to go up and down through the gears it allowed me to go up and over the pass rarely having to use the brakes. FYI, when you can down shift allowing the engine backpressure to slow you down you create more driving stability than relying on your brakes. I did slam on the brakes on one icy stretch to see how the brakes worked and found that the ABS brakes worked perfectly, stopping the vehicle quickly and on a straight line. When I read reviews on this car they said it didn’t have much get up and go. I really don’t know what they’re talking about, no it’s not a Maserati, but this little car went up and down any pass at any speed I desired. It is a superb car for skiing and just having fun. The engine performs well, it seems to have good torque, and it’s stable as all get out. It’s a great little snowmobile. I would recommend this car to anybody who wants a fun mountain vehicle. It’s not my Ford F250 so it might get high centered in a foot of snow but on most loose snow, hard pack snow, or ice it’s a heck of a lot of fun. Being able to start the car from my cell phone from anywhere is also very cool. The technology packed in this Subaru is really amazing, especially for the price tag they put on it.
