Save yourself some time and go to a different dealership. The only person who showed even a shred of kindness was Carmela, I just wish that made up for the unapproved hard inquiry on my credit report. More
I worked with Gilbert Mederios and he was absolutely amazing! He layed out everything in laymen’s terms, answered all my questions even when I was definitely repeating the same concerns over and over. H amazing! I brought my 2012 Santa Fe in this summer for an inspection, and knew it would be kind of expensive because the check engine light was on, but otherwise the car drove fine. The estimate to repair that issue was $1000, but they also said that the tie rods, front axles and rear pads and rotors needed to be replaced to pass inspection. After the shock wore off, I reluctantly told them go ahead with the repairs, using aftermarket parts if they could. They called me back a couple of days later, and said that the rear axle had broken while getting it off the lift, and that would need to be repaired also, waiving the labor cost (after much complaining on my part). I picked up my car later in the week, and paid half of its value in repairs. The next day I took it for a drive, and a loud screeching noise started to occur whenever I braked, and the alignment was off. I brought it back in, and they realigned it for free, and said the front pads and rotors needed to be replaced to fix the screeching. I said no thanks, and brought it home to do that repair myself since I have the tools and knowledge to do that myself. Well, after I swapped the pads and rotors, the noise was still there. I also noticed a new problem of the vibrations when the car goes above 55, even after rotating the tires. I returned the new parts to the auto store, and have been dealing with the screeching for over a month, . I plan on taking the vehicle into another service provider because this place seems to just want money from me, while making my vehicle worse. Every time I drive the vehicle now, I hear the screeching, feel the shaking in the steering wheel, and get angry because of a simple inspection that ruined this vehicle for me. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR REPAIRS. More
Pretty subpar experience with Orlando Gomes, he’s your prototypical used car salesman and the management of this dealership isn’t much better. Went to look at 2014 Jeep and made a verbal agreement that I would be buying this particular Jeep. The next day at 9:30 am called to put a hold payment on it as I couldn’t make it to finalize the purchase until a few days later. At 2:00 pm I messaged Orlando to see if I could move up our appointment to an earlier time and was informed that the Jeep actually was sold by the manager even after I placed a hold on it. Hard to know if Orlando would have let me know of this before coming in for our scheduled time, instead of giving a decent explanation he tried to sell me a Jeep for nearly $6,000 more. The whole experience was as shiesty as any car purchasing experience I could have imagined. The dealers are sleezy and management isn’t much better but what can you expect from a dealership in Johnston. Lesson learned More

Unethical & Dishonest Dealership It is the dealer's right to try and make some money from a transaction, and to upsell the customer on services. However, it is fraudulent for a dealer It is the dealer's right to try and make some money from a transaction, and to upsell the customer on services. However, it is fraudulent for a dealer to represent that expensive add-ons, services and fees are mandatory when in fact they are not. We opted to do a lease-end buyout. Buying your lease should be a painless process, and all we wanted to know were the financing options for the buyout amount (residual value). We called ahead to make an appointment and brought in our requested financial documents. After waiting forty minutes, a salesman returned with what appeared to be a grossly unfair deal, more than three thousand dollars ($3,000+) above our contractual buyout cost (seriously). In addition, the terms were not defined and they had attempted to hide some of the "services" in the actual cost of the vehicle. I communicated that while we appreciated the offer, we did not require any add-ons, and simply wanted to attain the financing options for the buyout price. Another twenty minutes later, we were told that in order to qualify for financing, we needed to purchase the add-ons and do a mandatory inspection (costing over a thousand dollars). This is patently false; I late confirmed this in my lease contract and with Hyundai Motor Financing. We would have been happy to pay the DMV transfer and a reasonable convenience/transaction fee to the dealership. Instead, we were lied to in what appears to have been an incident of attempted financing fraud. Find another dealership in the area who is ethical and honest. More
I recently turned in my leased Hyundai to Grieco Johnston, which I had originally leased from a different Hyundai dealership in Rhode Island that has since closed-- I opted to go to Greico to trade Johnston, which I had originally leased from a different Hyundai dealership in Rhode Island that has since closed-- I opted to go to Greico to trade in for a newer model because it was local. I worked with Roy and drove away from the dealership under the guise that the last month of my lease would be covered, as I had returned my previous car a month early. It is industry standard, as was confirmed by the Finance Manager at Grieco, that I would be sent a check for my last month’s lease on the previous car. I started receiving phone calls that the payment was late, and, as a previous reviewer stated, I was suddenly not able to get in contact with Roy. He made the sale and disappeared… which is the car salesman cliche, but not something I had ever experienced firsthand as a long-time leaser. Multiple phone calls and emails later, and I have received zero follow up, despite being promised I would. DO NOT BUY OR LEASE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. They do not care about keeping their word, or keeping your business, once you walk out the door. There are PLENTY of Hyundai dealerships in the area. Don’t give your money to crooks that want to split hairs over a SINGLE car payment that they said they would cover. I’ve told all of my family, friends and colleagues the same. More
