I recently just purchased a 2019 Honda Civic XL at grieco Honda. My experience was nothing short of amazing. I was on the market for a new vehicle. This was my first car purchase in my name and my sales rep, Honda. My experience was nothing short of amazing. I was on the market for a new vehicle. This was my first car purchase in my name and my sales rep, Alex, was super educational and honest with me. Alex Thayer was the best! Alex was super honest and compassionate. He was able to work with me and my budget and was able to provide me with everything I needed in my new car, all within my budget. He was super personable and knowledgable. If you have an option of salesmen, I would suggest Alex Thayer as he was excellent! 10/10 would recommend! Juan was my financing representative and he was also great! I have nothing but outstanding words for the personnel at Grieco Honda, Johnston, especially Sales Consultant Donnie Alfonso. I emailed the dealership regarding interest in a particular used vehicle and if it was in fact still available for purchase. Received an email shortly thereafter from Krystal Langley acknowledging that the vehicle was still available along with a link to similar vehicles which may also be of interest to me. Very thorough. She inquired if texting were permissible and easier. I concurred. We then set up a time for an appointment and to ask for the manager Sam upon arrival. Receptionist was very nice and friendly once arrived. Met with Sam who offered me water/coffee and directed me to a seating area to await my sales consultant, Donnie Alfonso. Sam was very pleasant, accommodating and knowledgeable. Shortly thereafter Donnie arrived, introduced himself and verified the vehicle I was interested in. He then provided the information on the vehicle, copy of the carfax and other pertinent data to review. First impressions as they say. Man was impeccably dressed with a demeanor to match. Comfortable from the start, no hard press, respectful. Totally removes the stigma associated with car sales. He left to retrieve the vehicle for a test drive and returned shortly. Went over the basics of the vehicle and any concerns I may have mentioned he addressed and would have corrected. Again, put at ease. Test drive completed, relaxed conversation as if I had known him for years. Went over all purchase documentation thoroughly with me, registration, insurance etc. Introduced me to Finance manager Ricardo for final purchase signatures. Class act also, sharp kid, personable and thorough. Why you ask I am writing all this? Not often people commend employees, especially in the auto dealership arena, those who go out of their way to guide and assist you. This was not about making a sale either, trust me. The purchase was for a 2008 car, not one at $150k. Hardly Donnie’s banner sale day to retire on. No, this gentleman, and I call him that as it is the greatest compliment I pay a man, treated me as if I was purchasing a Bugatti. Should it matter what the sale price? No, and he certainly proved that during and up to the delivery to my house today as I had no ride to pick it up. Kept me abreast daily with texts on the progress of minor issues, inspection, registration and detailing. Exceptional customer service in its entirety and Donnie sets the bar and what an employee provides to a customer, from the wealthy to regular guy like me. His moral compass obviously was built from a string foundation of rearing and the mantra of treat people the way you would like to be treated. His parents should be proud. Old school for a young guy. A true asset to the company and Mr. Grieco should be made aware of that. The entire dealership staff he should be proud of which bears his name. Not an easy profession, mainly complaints, but I want him to know of my very positive and actually enjoyable experience there. Thank you to all. More
