I had gone to Metro Honda, looking for a used car or a new honda. I had seen some honda commericals. I had a Nissan Sentra I was leasing and wanted to get out of it. The salesperson Rob, was very nice. Wh new honda. I had seen some honda commericals. I had a Nissan Sentra I was leasing and wanted to get out of it. The salesperson Rob, was very nice. When it came time to make a deal, they barely wanted to give me what I owed on my car, they wouldn't really do much on pricing. It was all about how much can you put down and what kind of payment you want. I was less than happy with the experience. When I finally got all the paperwork through, the business office, told me oh, they throw in the extended warranty. That wasn't the case they charged me 2k to make up the difference they lost on the vechicle. I have been repeatly called to bring my car in for service there even after telling them not interested. After 6 mos or so I received some information from them in the mail. I made an appt to get more information. The salesperson was rude, and was very uninterested in helping us. The paperwork i had showed me I could upgrade to a newer used car. The first words from his mouth were how much you putting down. Never asked what i was interested in or anything. then I noticed he had my registration and insurance information. He went into my compartment and got it without asking. Then he tried to rush us out the back door because he had another customer. After calling the manager to complain, I received a call back 6 hours after leaving. He was basically telling me you wanted a new car or nothing. I corrected him and said no I wanted to upgrade but no ever asked what I wanted. I also told him you lost a customer and your business office never called back with information on the warranty after 5 messages. I will never buy anything from this dealership nor do service there. They more than wasted my time. Awful! More
Service department should be called in service. Especially when it is a new car under warranty. Never bring your car here for service. They go out of their way to try to charge for warranty work. Especially when it is a new car under warranty. Never bring your car here for service. They go out of their way to try to charge for warranty work. On a car with 10,000 miles on it. This should not be an issue. Three hours layer. It only gets worse. I will never buy or service a car at Metro Honda again. More
My search for a used Honda started online. There were 2 prices on Metro's website for the same car. One was significantly lower than the other. I drove over 50 miles to see the car and the salesman didn' prices on Metro's website for the same car. One was significantly lower than the other. I drove over 50 miles to see the car and the salesman didn't believe me about the 2 prices until I showed him a printout. Once I drove the car I told him I would consider the car but would not be ready with a bank check until Monday(it was Saturday). I told him that if it sold, it sold and I would be out of luck. He told me that a personal check for the entire amount would be fine. Not true according to someone I spoke to on the phone. The next day, Sunday, I called and asked for the bottom line price so I could bring a check on Monday. He told me to come back in to discuss the price. I reminded him that I live over 50 miles away. I told him I only needed to know all fees above the price of the car. He said he wouldn't discuss the fees over the phone. He then said (and I paraphrase here): "Someone is test driving the car now. Wait, it's sold." I had my daughter call later in the day to find out if it was really sold. The answer: NO. Did I buy from Metro: NO. I should have paid attention to Deal Rater. More
0 STAR for everything. I would have given them 0 star if I could. Do not buy from Metro Honda, RI. They would not honor their offer on the phone and wasted my 2 hrs time driving there from CT. First thing I I could. Do not buy from Metro Honda, RI. They would not honor their offer on the phone and wasted my 2 hrs time driving there from CT. First thing I went in, they tried to sell me this financing scheme and tell me I can put more than 3K down because the bank requires so!? I went along with it (should have left then, what a mistake!). Then came salesman Rob telling me they didn't have the color in stock while they specially tell me over the phone 2 hrs before my arrival that they have it in stock. I was enraged at this point. Oh yeah, he didn't even let me test drive because I told him I went to another dealership already! He went inside to the office and now came sales manager Paul Bender claimed that no one have ever offered me anything and give me this "today is the last day" sales pitch. After arguing back and forth, I left vowing to report them. They will never get business from me or from anyone I know. They didn't even offer an apology for wasting my time. Pathetic group of people. Do not buy from them. They are dishonest and shaddy. Don't believe a word they say. I am reporting them to BBB and Honda Headquarters. Can't believe they are still in business. 0 STAR! More
bought a new ridgeline, all was well until i went back for my perm. plates. The dealer said i owed another $200 for registration because they claimed they had no idea how much reg. was in CT. They refused for my perm. plates. The dealer said i owed another $200 for registration because they claimed they had no idea how much reg. was in CT. They refused to give me the plates until i payed.(what is a contract agreement for?) Reported to the dmv and cons. protection. STAY AWAY. Very dishonest people. More
Metro Honda is the type of dealership that gives the car industry a bad name. I went in after doing my research ready to buy and walked out vowing to never give them a chance at my business. All they want t industry a bad name. I went in after doing my research ready to buy and walked out vowing to never give them a chance at my business. All they want to do is show you an inflated monthly payment and only provide vague answers when you inquire about details. The salesman was nice enough in making sure the test drive was ok, but I felt he thought the pricing was just a formality. When I countered their initial price quote, cutting through the bs and focusing on the real numbers of how much and my car, with a fair price (maybe slightly low), I was asked to leave. I honestly felt that they realized they had an educated consumer who they could not fast talk and therefore, couldn't make time to come to terms on a fair price. I had bought cars at Metro in the past, but will never even give them the opportunity at getting my business. More

Hi, our names are Bill, Betty and Beth from Cape Cod, MA. We have been searching between MA and RI for a new 2008 Honda Accord loaded. We visited large dealers such as Majestic Honda, Herb Chambers Motor Gro We have been searching between MA and RI for a new 2008 Honda Accord loaded. We visited large dealers such as Majestic Honda, Herb Chambers Motor Group, Atamian Honda, Bernardi Honda, Boch Honda among many others within MA and RI. We called all the dealers first, we were told the same story about our used trade-in, we need to see the vehicle before we can give you a price toward the new Honda Accord. After hearing the Metro Honda RI radio commercial, we started searching online for Metro Honda RI. We found them using Google and Yahoo. We visited the website which was not the easiest the navigate through. Once you leave the main page, you are lost. The website was designed very poorly for older people. But anyways, we ended up calling the phone number listed. We were pleasantly greeted on the phone by a person named Alex. We inquired about a new Honda Accord 2008 loaded and told Alex we had a trade. Alex informed us that they would need to see the car but he would give us an estimate of what the car was worth I "mint" condition which no other dealership would do. After hearing what he had to offer, we decided to take an hour and 20 minute ride to Metro Honda RI in Johnston, RI. When we walked in, we were greeted by a very pleasent salesperson named Al. We asked for Alex, the sale person asked if we would like something to drink while we waited for Alex, which by the way caught us off guard. Offering someone something not even knowing if we were going to purchase a vehicle was very nice and professional. We waited for Alex to arrive in our cube. We spoke to Alex about what we wanted and told him that we were so happy with his service on the telephone, we decided to drive in from Cape Cod. One thing led to another, after going back and forth with figures for the trade and the new vehicle, which they had in-stock, we sealed a deal. What a "Professional" dealership Metro Honda RI has. This is the first time we have had any kind of dealings with them and it will be the only dealership we deal with into the future. Robert Grieco was a very nice boy, one of the owners. He was very professional and bent over backwards to make sure we were happy with the deal before it was closed. We rate Metro Honda RI a 5 Star for Professionalism and Service. Let my wife and I say this, if they had a higher price than the other dealerships, we still would have purchased from them due to the "Professional" way in which they run the company. What a classy family and great bunch of people. Thank you!! Bill and Betty and Beth from Cape Cod. More
I was looking to buy a new Honda, so I figured I'd stop by Metro Honda on the way home. BIG MISTAKE, two red flags went up that should have told to get out of there. First, they wanted $500 as a deposit fr by Metro Honda on the way home. BIG MISTAKE, two red flags went up that should have told to get out of there. First, they wanted $500 as a deposit from a credit card as soon as I sat down to talk(first red flag). I asked "Why, I haven't decided to buy anything yet?". He said "Don't worry you'll get it back whether you buy the car or not." They did not have the color I was looking for, but they said they could get it. Then they asked and I quote, "How much are you willing to pay to get that color?"(second red flag). I just laughed and said what do you think, nothing. He said it could cost around $500. After some more talk and him going back and forth to his manger, I throw out a number of $250 just to get things going. He comes back from his manager he says it will cost $300 to get the car in the color I want. Before I signed the purchasing agreement, I asked, "I am under no obligation to buy this car, right?". His reply, "No sir, you are NOT obligated in any way". The next day, after talking with my wife, I told them I did not want the car anymore, because I did not want to pay the additional $300. (I found out afterwards that they just trade the same car for a different color with another dealer.) Finally after three days of them calling and lowering the price $50 here, a $100 there, they told me that if I don't buy the car I will forfeit the $500. If your thinking about going to Metro Honda, instead do the following, take a toothpick and jam it in your eye, it'd be more enjoyable. More
