Disappointing sales experience After several phone conversations with Curtis I drove from Reno to Gridley to purchase a used Ford F-250 from them. I was lead to believe that there w After several phone conversations with Curtis I drove from Reno to Gridley to purchase a used Ford F-250 from them. I was lead to believe that there would be some room for negotiations but when I arrived it was their way or the highway. Being in a time critical situation I proceeded begrudgingly with the process. I was told that they go by the Kelly Blue Book on trade in values but when I arrived and they looked at my 1995 Ford F-150 they told me that they would only wholesale my vehicle and could not give even half of what KBB suggested would be a fair trade in value. During my inspection of the F-250 I pointed out that the driver seat floor mat was missing and I wanted it replaced and was told no way they would replace the floor mat leaving the 3 other floor mats in place. I requested that they at least install the 3 upfitter switches and was told again no way they would not do that. There was no negotiations and if I wanted the truck it was as is. I had to grovel to get at least a tank of gas to get home on. I feel that this whole process was unfair and misrepresented on the phone and that it was almost like a bait and switch deal just to get me there. I will say that Steve in the finance dept. was friendly and fair and somewhat apologetic about the situation and conducted the business in a fair and honest manner. I would caution anyone dealing with Gridley Country Ford to be on their guard and be very careful when making a deal with them. This is my opinion and mine alone as I am sure that there are others that have had a better experience with them More
