We found a car we wanted at Gresham Toyota. We live over 2 hours away. But we knew what we wanted, our down payment, and the payments we could afford. We told all this to the salesman Lonnie. He still did his best to get us into a brand-new car instead of the late-model Mitsubishi. Lonnie chattered constantly during the test drive, even when I asked for quiet so I could hear the engine. We filled out the credit app. Lonnie tried numerous times to get us to increase our 20% down payment or accept ridiculous interest. After 2 hours they agreed to our reasonable offer. TWO WEEKS LATER Lonnie said we'd have to negotiate again because the bank turned us down. Said that they never ran our credit. They should not have let us drive that car off the lot without checking our credit--oh, but wait. They did. It shows up on our credit report. We tried to work it out, but everyone at Gresham wsa flat-out rude. Bait-and-swtich, dishonesty, and zero regard for the customer. More

Many thanks to Dan for his excellent service and follow up. Dan helped narrow down the vehicle choice through a test drive with my wife and then was able to quickly locate the precise vehicle. We had a great experience at Gresham Toyota. Stacey was very attentive and great to work with. We test drove both the Prius and the Corolla and found that the Corolla was a better fit for us. They treated by son and his fiance very poorly. Authorized a loan for a great deal more money than the value of the car. When questioned about it, they assured my son it was fine. Over a week later, they called his fiance and demanded an additional $2900 so the loan would still work. After a great deal of phone time and some very heated discussion, she returned the car and got her original vehicle back. Very poor way to do business, especially in these economic times. Seems like you people don't get the message about how to do business. You still think you can play games with money and take advantage of younger purchasers. I have told my son to file a complaint with the better business bureau and the state attorney general's office regarding your business practices. I will not hesitate to inform anyone I come in contact with how you do business and we will never deal with Gresham Toyota! More

Anywho...my husband and I recently bought 2 vehicles from Gresham Toyota. A mini-van and an SUV. Our sales person, Dan, was terrific, friendly and helpful. Both vehicles were in great shape (2007 mini-van with 11,000 miles and a 2004 SUV with 38,000 miles!). We got the van for about $7,000 below book value and the SUV for about $12,000 below book value. They showed us everything we asked for pertaining to their cost and also carfax on both vehicles. They even called us back 2 weeks later to re-sign paperwork because they got us a better interest rate and lowered our monthly payments!! So, overall...I think Gresham Toyota is one of the best dealerships I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with and I constantly rave about them to all my fellow postal co-workers. Portland has some really bad dealreships, but Gresham Toyota is not one of them! More

I was in Gresham toyota trying to buy a truck, and was being pushed around to buy something. The reason I went in was because in their tv ad it says "no pressure, the dealer that lets you look" no pressur being pushed around to buy something. The reason I went in was because in their tv ad it says "no pressure, the dealer that lets you look" no pressure my a** everycar i looked at kevin the viet kid kept saying, "you like? let me go get the keys" then i said no then i looked at another he said the same thing over and over, then i found out one i wanted to test drive he pulled they let me go make a copy of your driver license, i know this trick and told him no, he rufused to let me test drive the car because i had not given him my license so i did. when i came back we went inside and started pushing me to buy it, i asked about a traded in and he said sorry you need a co-signer, co-signe xxx yo, if you didn't pull me credit how would you know that and what kind of BS is that homie i would never recommend this dealrship stay away from kevin and his manager SCAM ARTIST!!!!!!! I had a similar experience with them (see my review below) when I purchased a NEW Tundra that had bumper damage. Even though I had their written promise to repair the bumper when I returned the vehicle they reneged on it. My telephone calls to speak with the dealership owner were ignored. When I visited the dealership at a later date I requested to speak with the owner only to have the sales manager hand me a photocopied "Notice of Exclusion" form attempting to prohibit me from visiting the dealership in the future. I have some doubts on the sincerity of the glowing reviews below but have NONE if one of their customers experience any problems with these people. I recently purchased a pre-owned vehicle from Gresham Toyota. The vehicle I had purchased was sold as-is but had a full service checkup. They were nice to deal with and worked with me on my trade in. Upon returning home the check engine light came on. I stopped at my local dealer who said a $300 part needed to be replaced. The dealer said the check engine light had been coming on for quite some time but Gresham Toyota had reset it. When you reset a check engine light it will stay off for five hundred to a thousand miles. I also had to purchase an antenna and a cd-changer magazine since these were missing from my car. Within a week I noticed spots in my driveway and come to find out my new car is leaking fluids. I have a scheduled appointment at my local dealer to diagnose the leak and replace the $300 part. Before I could make it to my appointment my car broke down all together. I have put less than a thousand miles on this vehicle and it currently sits broke down at my work. The engine will not turn over when I go to start it. I’ve called to have it towed sixty-miles to my local dealership to diagnosis this new problem. Quite frustrated with my vehicle I called Gresham Toyota just to voice my concerns about the problems I was having. Tommy, the salesman I had purchased the car from just kept saying you bought a pre-owned vehicle as-is. I told Tommy I understood this but was frustrated due to the fact it had a full service checkup performed at Gresham Toyota before I purchased it. Tommy just kept saying it was as-is and began laughing as if he didn’t care. I asked to speak with his manager and he hung up on me. I’ve called back and left a message for his manager to call me back. I understand I purchased an as-is vehicle but feel wronged since their version of a full service checkup is to wipe up leak marks and reset check engine lights. I think Gresham Toyota is quite dishonest and would never refer anyone to them. The people at this dealership are the best ever!!!!!!!!! The entire staff was friendly. The sales person was the best I have ever dealt with in buying a car. Everyone was great!
