Sir, I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with your experience. I must say that I found the facts stated in your complaint to be significantly different from what we experienced from you. First of all, you do remember the person you spoke to because this complaint was registered under his name. Additionally, at no point did you state real interest in purchasing our car. Right from the start you seemed agitated and wanting to maintain an aggressive approach to our staff. We are not a high pressure organization. We are simply here to offer assistance to folks interested in a product we have for sale. We will not push, argue, or otherwise when encountering overly aggressive individuals, especially the ones who seem to "know it all". During your time with our staff you complained that our car had imperfections, but would not show us what they were. We honestly were interested in knowing what imperfections we were unaware of, but you could only restate that they were there. You then moved into stating very clearly that we were "dumbasses" for thinking that we could get the price listed for our car. You stated that the car wasn't worth more than $18000 as you have seen many sell for between $18000-$20000 like ours. Our staff member responded that we have not seen anything remotely close to that and that we would not be able to accommodate those numbers for you by implying that we had to pay more than that for the car ourselves. That is what was said. No argument or otherwise, just a factual statement that we would not be able to accommodate your numbers. The statement made regarding our having to pay more than that for this vehicle was obviously taken wrong. We did in fact have to pay well over your numbers to purchase this car. That was not intended to offend, it was just a fact implying that even the prices on the wholesale market for vehicles of this caliber are higher than your suggested values. You also stated that you could find vehicles like ours all over the internet. Our staff member said that if you could find a similar car online for those prices that you should definitely look at it in person to make sure that it is in "showroom condition" as ours is. You answered that the pictures online are always as good as seeing the vehicle in person evidenced by the 2 older vehicles (2001 Olds Aurora, 1999 Chevy Silverado) that you said you had purchased before. Our experience is exactly opposite that and we will not accept from anyone that pictures online ever show imperfections accurately. Especially when buying highly collectable investment grade vehicles, they must be seen in person, period. Upon hearing your argument that having 5 owners listed on Carfax was a bad sign, we explained that cars like these, similar to Corvettes and other semi-classic automobiles, often times change hands between individuals that put them in their garage, take them to car shows, etc...We see that as being fairly normal. Your final statement, the one where you said that whoever buys our car for anywhere close to our price is a "xxxxxxx" (second time term was used), is the one that made our salesperson reaffirm that we would not be able to accommodate you on this car and that since you were obviously not interested in being more reasonable there was nothing more to discuss. We are offended by your complaint. We have done nothing to you. We do not deserve to be ridiculed for not accepting your arguements. We have a product for sale. If you don't like our product, or feel that we are too high on price, we are willing to discuss how we can help accommodate your wishes. However, your offer was $5000 less than our asking price surrounded by "facts and figures" that are complete baloney. You were not interested in increasing your offer. At no point did you even state that you were interested in actually buying our car, you seemed only interested in telling us how wrong and out of line we were, as well as insulting anyone interested in actually buying our car. Your complaint is ridiculous. Had you actually shown that you were serious about owning our car, we would have been happy to sit down and show you exactly what it would take to buy it. Lastly, occasionally we run into folks like you that are overtly aggressive and disrespectful, that only seem interested in putting us or our product down. We understand that many folks have had bad experiences in their efforts to buy vehicles from other dealerships. We are not those dealerships. We operate very differently. So, when we encounter folks behaving as you were, we tend to try to move on as kindly and professionally as possible because typically those folks are the ones that will find fault in anything we do regardless. And here we are...Now we are being rated poorly because we didn't accept your ridiculous offer with a smile on our face for our "show condition GTO" while being insulted over and over. To refer to a person that does there research as a "know it all" then I am. If I wasnt interested In the car I wouldn't stop to waste my time or offer $20000. I will correct myself. in kbb and Nada dealer pricing is $18700 to $21800. I would be will to come and give it another shot. With that knowing I'm interested in the car doing my best to also get myself the best deal. If you like give me a call at 4028851935 and we can set up an appointment but I'm sticking to my guns part of the car buying game

I appreciate the followup, and I respect what you have stated. My apologies for any part we have played in causing you to be unhappy. That being said, in todays world games just aren't a part of buying. We don't play them. There is so much information out there (much of it incorrect) that it wouldn't be possible to play games even if we wanted to, which we absolutely DO NOT WANT. And none of the sites listed have ever bought or sold a car. ALL of the sites for values place different numbers on the same vehicle, and all of those are completely subjective. I agree that the information provided for the consumer is important and necessary in most cases. For example, we sell a lot of late model basic transportation vehicles like Kia Optima's and Chevy Equinox's, etc... However, when looking at exceptional vehicles, collectable vehicles, show vehicles, excessively low mileage vehicles, etc. the true market is decided by what a buyer is willing to pay, and a seller is willing to accept. Basically, you can throw the book out the window in some cases. So, what we tend to do, everyday of our lives, is make the best judgements we can on what we buy and sell to make a margin for our efforts. We have access to sites that cost thousands per month to utilize that can search nationwide for every single vehicle offered for sale and narrow the comparisons down to a nats a*& regarding mileage, options, conditions, etc...These sites are so much more informative than anything a typical buyer could access. They take 2 days worth of work and provide the information in seconds. That is where we are able to decide true market correct pricing for specialty cars and everyday cars alike. This way we insure that we are not pricing our product out of the market. Utilizing this we are not at all priced high on this car. We are not priced low either. I would say that we are within $500 one way or the other in comparison for like vehicles that are currently for sale-vehicles that would be a fair comparison that is. We are not claiming in any way to have a great, fantastic, special deal on this GTO...We just have it. And it is for sale. It won't be cheap. We won't be able to discount much. It's just for that someone that wants as close to a perfect example of a car with relatively low mileage on it that will surely be very collectable from here on. The prices have been going up steadily and I would expect that to continue. I believe this is an investment grade vehicle and that is how I have to value it. In all fairness, I want to disclose ALL internal information on this car so you can see that what I have said is factually correct. I purchased this car through a dealer only wholesale auction in Kansas City, MO on June 7, 2017. At that time NADA retail was only $17925. My handheld allowed me to search nationwide for vehicles with similar VIN's so that I could assess the true market for the car. It was obviously in exceptional condition and we do like to bring vehicles like this to our local market, even if they oftentimes sell out of state. Bidding on this vehicle opened at $19000 and went up in $250 increments until it hit $21000 or thereabouts. I was involved in bidding from there on in $100 increments. My original hope was to own the car for as close to $20k as possible because I believed that the true market reflected a suggested sale price of $23500-$24000. There was actually some support at the time for pricing as high as $25000, but we typically want to be under the highest priced competitors when placing vehicles online. My final purchase price for the car including the $3xx fee was $22025.00. From there I had an inspection done at a cost of $115 to verify no hidden issues, primarily underneath as that is difficult to inspect. The vehicle passed perfectly and then transportation was arranged at a cost to me of $175.00. The vehicle went through our shop without a single issue other than LOF (we always do that regardless). Total shop bill was $95.55 for inspection time and LOF service. In any business there are "carrying charges" that have nothing to do with vehicle value or what we expect from a client, but in this case of full disclosure I will include them. They are currently exactly $213.68. So, total true net cost to me at this point is $22509.23. I would not have had any problem at all sharing this information in its entirety with you in our office had things progressed when you were here. I commonly do for the sole purpose of following through on our goal of being a dealer that truly, honestly, wants to provide the best product and service that we can. I admit that we failed to put our best foot forward the other day when you were here, but most of that is my fault. I expect my staff to be honest, respectful, and low pressure. They will not be employed without having those abilities. I do, however, tell them very directly that when encountering a losing battle with clients, just try to move on with as little problem as possible. We, as car dealers, are generalized as a group of idiots and slime xxxxx. It isn't easy overcoming that multiple times daily when folks are simply nervous or scared of what they might encounter at a car dealership. We do not have any issues whatsoever with our customers, whether or not they buy, when we are given the chance to show them who we are. I don't think we did that with you, but at the time Chris did not see that there was any way possible to oblige you in the way that you wanted. We just don't play games here at all. Sometimes when people come in with a "game plan" in place, we just cant compete because it is NOT a part of our presentation. So, finally I will offer the car to you for any price above what I own it for, but not below. I completely understand if that doesn't work for you. I respect that as it is your choice whether to make a purchase. But I would prefer, given the full disclosure, that you not rate us as a poor operation to do business with. I can appreciate your feelings that you were not served the way in which you would have liked, but I believe that there was some misunderstanding on both sides. I will have additional conversations with my staff and try to put something in place to better deal with situations and make them less able to react without supervision from myself or my GM. It would be appreciated if we could move on from this with positive thoughts of each other, and I would be personally thankful to you if you would consider not placing the negative review against us at this point. I will respect your decision either way. I can be reached on my cell phone anytime at (402) 202-6116 if you would like to discuss anything at all further. Very sincerely. Eric Bigler
