Sir, I am sorry that you felt we weren't accomodating to your wants and needs. There were 3 of us present when you arrived at the dealership, and 2 of us spoke with you while you were here. We did have other folks in house doing business with us, all completed their dealings without issue, and all left happy. I realize that other customers entered the building while you were sitting, and they were greeted and helped, but this was after you returned from test driving and chose to wait approximately 10 minutes until Chris was available again. He was the person that had helped you up until that point. I personal asked if I could help in any way. Your response was that you were fine and just needed Chris to "get the numbers right" for you. I let you know he would be a few minutes while he finished up with the folks that had been there prior to your arrival. We are not a dealership that employs countless sales people haunting the lot waiting for customers. We are professional, but also very relaxed and low pressure. I personally spoke with you as Chris began evaluating your trade in. I was frankly surprised that you were even interested in our truck as you went on a tirade belittling it in an aggressive and gruff manner. Stating things like our truck was beat up and rode hard, etc don't normally send the signals that you would be happy buying it. I disagreed very directly and held back questioning why you would continue to want to buy it given your statements, but I realized that it was just your old school attempt at trying to negotiate for whatever end result you were hoping for. However, these were two very different trucks with slightly different markets normally. Ours is a Harley Davidson with many, many upgrades and add ons. Yours was a standard without additional equipment, etc. We did not have any problem with your truck, but it was very obvious to us that you were not going to be able to see a reasonable difference based on your behaviors and comments. You stated more than once that you knew where you were at on numbers, and we had better get there or no deal. We encounter this occasionally, and have learned to respect it. So, when we looked at the market surrounding your truck, honestly, we were not comfortable with our chance to avoid conflict. When time came to discuss prices, we simply inquired where you felt we would be able to earn your business, You stated that you would not be willing to do more than $4000 difference between the 2 trucks. That sir, doesn't even pay for the 60,000 mile variance between the two, not to mention the Harley Davidson package which will cost more, or any of the upgrades to suspension, wheels and tires, lights, power adders, NAV unit, etc. All total approximately $8000. At that point we did answer that we would not be able to accept that offer. While we do business all day, every day, prior experience dictates that sometimes it is best for all involved to agree to disagree and part ways professionally. Often times we encounter folks that we know are going to be very hard to please. Not because we are not willing to do all we can to appease their expectations, but more often because of the behaviors exhibited by the customer during our interaction. We tend to put forth effort to avoid confrontation because that doesn't help anyone. In this case, we did exactly what we could do with respect to your continuing stern statements about what was necessary to do business. Once we knew that we would not be on the same page, we simply admitted it to you, no disrespect intended, and thanked you for the opportunity. Your complaint states that you wanted the truck and were interested in working with us. That was NOT the experience we had. Eric Bigler

My Review of Bigler Motors WASREADYTOBUY 10/18/2017 Reason For Visit Sales (Used) "Bewhere, the typical dealer you want to stay away from." Found a truck I was interested in called to see if was available, it was so I drove 1.5 hours to look at. Nobody ever came out to see if they could assist, so after looking the truck over I went in to continue to see if I could get more information, got a little bit, was asked if I wanted to drive it, put plate on it and off I went. I was so far happy how things were going. Then I got back to dealer ship, DOWNHILL from there, the only salesman was trying to finish a deal as I heard that wasn't a done deal since that guy wasn't happy either, people walked in as I was patently waiting, salesman started helping them before I got up, so I still waited a bit, finally he got to me, started off bad when he said your not trading your truck in are you, granted mine has 60k more miles on it than the one I looked at but it is in as good a shape as the one I looked a. Long story short, he didn't even offer me any thing ask what I thought, I said I would do 4k difference, promptly said we can part as friends. So for 2 trucks same age similar condition, because his "looked better" he wasn't even interested in a deal. So at this point I will not be referring any one to this dealer. Update, First off let me apologize for not seeing all salesman, i do understand you have other customers that were there before i was, that is why I was waiting patiently, yes you had come over to see if i needed anything. As far as our interaction while Chris began the evaluation I also apologize for knocking your truck but he kinda set me off when he stated 'Your not going to trade your truck in are you" I did notice it may not be your "normal" type of vehicle that you may have on your lot, but that is why they make so many different styles of vehicles. As for the offer on the difference on the trucks, yes yours is a Harley Davidson edition, with mods and upgrades, that being said i look at it as that is what the last guy wanted to do, you can not get a bank to finance more on a vehicle that is in the year range we are looking at, even in all the NADA, KBB, they don't have a box to check for those additions, so with the offer i had presented and with what people are to do, and do there home work to see what things are worth the NADA for your truck was Clean retail 20,1725 and mine 16,825, that would be a difference of 3350 so that is why my offer of 4000 i didn't think was to far out of line. With no counter we had to part ways. To be honest i am still interested in the truck that you have, so if we could come to some sort of agreement you could have another sale and a customer.

Thank you for the follow up sir. It really is not our intention to upset you in any way. However, we can only control how we conduct business, not how others perceive our attempts. In this case, here is the simplest, most direct way I can express our thoughts. We have a vehicle for sale. We don't knock on people's door and tell them to come and buy it, we simply advertise that it is for sale. The extras and add ons that are present on our vehicle are not, for the most part, allowing for adjustments in "book values". That being said, it doesn't really matter. We aren't asking for additional money for them, but THEY DO increase the value of our vehicle to most individuals looking. If you had some or all of these additions done on your vehicle, you would want to see some compensation for them I am sure. Our position is that it only makes our offer that much better since we are not pricing it up any higher than standard market. By your figures, several thousand dollars less than NADA. So, I understand that they may mean absolutely nothing to you. That is your choice, and we do not pretend that it isn't. Again, it is just a product for sale, nothing more. Pertaining to your truck, it just isn't something we would be willing to offer much for. When someone is interested in trading in their vehicle, they are basically requiring us to "buy" it. We do take trades, but we are not obligated to. I would have offered an amount in line with what I would expect to get at auction because I would not be interested in stocking it on the lot. Not that I believe there is anything wrong with it, but it just doesn't fit what we want to offer. Admittedly, this Harley truck of ours is also outside what we try to market due to the mileage being almost 200k. Bringing in another truck that we would have to sell with 255k is just not of interest. Please understand that when we took a look at current auction market value we would have had to offer you approximately $8000 or so to guarantee that we would be able to get it sold. Personally, I believe that that is a ridiculous number. Therefore, I did not venture an offer. You were very stern, and very direct. That is completely fine, but it also made us aware that it was not going to be in our best interests, or yours, for us to argue over it. Finally, I cannot control what trade ins folks bring to us, and most of the time we have open arms for them. This was a tough one. While I think that you could probably sell your truck for $10000-12000, I have to stick by the numbers when bringing something in that we would take to auction. And typically, retail book to retail book doesn't work when trading a vehicle in. It can be a guide, but there has to be something in there for us to make it worth doing. In the case of the two trucks, ours is worth more because of its marketability. Simply put, ours will be easier to find a buyer for than yours. Again, I apologize that we made you angry, frustrated, or otherwise. NOT our intention. But please put yourself in our shoes and consider the statements you made, and HOW they were made. Consider our difficult position surrounding your truck And remember, some of the very first words out of your mouth upon arrival were: Boy, I wish my wife were here, because it is one our favorite things to do beating up on salesmen... I don't believe we deserve that. I do believe that when we place a vehicle for sale, it is the buyers choice whether they want to purchase it. We don't push, lie, cheat, steal, or anything of the like. We just offer it for sale for the best price we can to make it easy for everyone. That is how business is done at independently owned auto stores nowadays. Mostly because we don't want the headaches of typical sales practices any more than customers do. Hopefully this helps ease any misunderstanding. I am open to discuss any and all further with you but would prefer to speak directly. You can reach me via cell phone if you wish. My number is (402) 202-6116. Thanks, Eric Bigler
