Brought my 2013 Honda Civic to Greg May Honda for a recall for the airbag on July 15, 2024. I was assured that there would be no cost since the error light came on for the technician and it was under recall for the airbag on July 15, 2024. I was assured that there would be no cost since the error light came on for the technician and it was under a recall notice that Honda repeatedly sent to me by mail. Not only did it take 4 days for Honda to figure out the issue, but when we got our care back on July 19, 2024, we were charged a $170 diagnostic fee because they said the check airbag light was for the drivers side not the passengers side. Only the passenger side was covered under warranty. Yet there is no way to tell which side it is for when you see which side the error was for when the light came on. If I had been told there was a chance this wouldn't be covered, I would've never left my car there for 4 days and paid to rent a car during that time. This is very deceptive business practice and absolutely should not have taken 4 days to determine which side the issue was on. I have been a loyal Honda customer for years and am getting ready to give this Honda Civic to my daughter for her first car and buy myself a new car. I was actually planning to buy a new car from Greg May Honda this fall and now am not sure I will if this is how Honda treats customers. More
