My husband and I bought a Kia Soul from Greenway Mazda. We should have realized the low advertised price was a bait and switch when the other charges were added in. It took over a week to take possession of the car due to repair work that I cannot get the Service paperwork on. When we finally took possession, the warning light for the traction control was on, they supposedly replaced the module, then we were given a bunch of malarkey about how it will go off once the other warning light, the airbag, is handled from the recall. We just wanted to take our car and never deal with this company again. I took the car to our mechanic and a reputable transmission place and the engine and transmission are in excellent condition, luckily for us. I cannot tell if any work was actually performed on this car by Greenway Mazda. Michael was our salesman. I thought he was very friendly. Update I was contacted by Rahim, the General Sales Manager. He was very apologetic about the numerous issues, overcharges, untruths and run around we went through when purchasing and then trying to take possession of the car. He worked hard to "make it right" by reimbursing us for items we had to purchase that they were supposed to replace as part of Greenway Mazda's Mazda Value Package, their charge for getting the car ready for sale - inspecting, changing fluids, repairs, replacing filters and wipers, etc. Rahim also made sure I received copies of the Service Tickets of the work performed on the car. (These took almost two weeks to receive.) He also asked me to bring the car back so they could recheck over the car, do any maintenance that was over looked, and provide me with a loaner. I declined, but I was pleased that he wanted "make things right". Rahim told me he is retraining the sales people and service to ensure what happened to us doesn't happen again. I hope this is true, but I won't be visiting the dealership to find out. I still cannot tell if any "repair" work was performed on the car other than the new tires, oil change and cleaning the car for sale, because those are the only items listed on the Service Ticket. The replacement of the windshield is not on either repair ticket. (After speaking with Kia, the two repairs for the airbag, which is under a recall, and the traction control, are simple - making the wires under the front seats, longer, because they get disconnected.) I went to Greenway Mazda on 2/28/22 because a couple of coworkers gave them raving reviews. It was a dealership from xxxx. I was very disappointed with the service my husband and I received. I called ahea coworkers gave them raving reviews. It was a dealership from xxxx. I was very disappointed with the service my husband and I received. I called ahead and spoke with the manager Sean Couch and informed him that I would be coming in today with my husband. When I arrived Sean paired me with Jason Beal, we test drove a CX 30 and it was a nice and was told the price was 34k. I was also trading in my 2013 Dodge Avenger. So my husband provided his info and I provided the title to my car. After we told him that we wanted the info on the car so we could take it to the bank things got real shiesty! The guy who test drove my car didn’t bring it back to the front and I was told he parked it around the side. Why is that? Jason then wanted to know how much we wanted to put down and I told him nothing because we were going through BOA. Jason then showed me that we need to put $10,000 down and that for every thousand down the down the car payment reduces by $20. We were baffled. He then told us the car note with $10k down would still be between $700-$500 monthly. He then told me that the guy appraised my car without checking it at $755.00. My husband then asked could we just get the paperwork on the car so we could take it to the bank and we can get the bank to finance a car for us. Jason then told us that he wanted us to put $500 down, but that wasn’t a fee or anything but just to hold the car in case somebody came forward to buy it. I then replied if somebody come for it sell it to them. By this time I’m very disgusted and ready to go so me and my husband head out the door towards my car and here comes Jason and another manager chasing behind us. I told him I was very happy with the service and I was very unhappy that you want to give me $755 for my car when I know it’s worth much more because I did a Kelley blue book appraisal on the car. The manager then said I’ll give you 4000 for it. I then replied why would you give me 4000 for a car that you just said was worth $755. I told them both to have a good night and I was leaving there are plenty other dealerships in HoustonI We really didn’t appreciate being treated as though we were very ignorant, given the run around like we had never purchased a car before I will never go to Greenway Mazda again!!! Mike is still currently working to get me my dream car at the price I'm looking for. He has been keeping in contact with me on a daily basis with what inventory they get and although I'm a difficult person, the price I'm looking for. He has been keeping in contact with me on a daily basis with what inventory they get and although I'm a difficult person, he hasn't given up on me yet. If you're in the market, but choosy like me, Mike will help you every step of the way. Cudos to you, Mike! More
I would have given them -5 if I could. OMG! Please beware. I had leased an SUV from this dealership. Yesterday, I went to purchase the car as I was approaching the end of the lease. I had driven the c beware. I had leased an SUV from this dealership. Yesterday, I went to purchase the car as I was approaching the end of the lease. I had driven the car very little and it was almost like new. My contract clearly read "you have an option to purchase the vehicle at the end of the lease term for $16,964.10". The lease contract also indicated an administrative fee of $50. What they tried to pull was unreal. They wanted to charge me the following: about $19,000 for the car, $990 for an inspection, $1700 in taxes (that were already paid at the beginning of the lease), $1500 for a "certification". They refused to honor the residual value of the car indicated clearly in the lease agreement. I called the financing institution (Chase Auto) which informed me that these were all unnecessary charges. The value of the car was the amount indicated in the lease agreement, an inspection and certification were not necessary and taxes were their invention. When I requested a copy of the itemized charges, they refused (of course). I paid the lease off directly with Chase this morning. The full amount today was what it stated in the contract (my total was $17,014.10). NO OTHER CHARGES. All of those fees were bogus. You draw your own conclusions before you go to this place. I also suspect many of their reviews are fake. More
