Everytime I visit Carnival KIA I feel that Marcus listens to what I want. He tried everything he could to get me in a car that I would love. The sad thing you won't see me for a very long time. I arrived at the dealer with the intent to test drive an evaluate the 2012 Kia Optima or the 2012 Kia Sorrento. After test driving both, I settled on the Optima EX. As the salesman attempted to persuade me evaluate the 2012 Kia Optima or the 2012 Kia Sorrento. After test driving both, I settled on the Optima EX. As the salesman attempted to persuade me to purchase it I was a bit concerned about the trade in value of my old car. When the salesman inquired about the payoff, I stated a payment was due and perhaps I should pay it before trading. He countered with, "why, we're going to pay it off and you'd be better served to use that money toward the down payment. I was offered a fair price for the Kia and trade in of my old car. After signing the paperwork I asked the finance officer if this deal was final and he assured me it was...IT WASN'T. It was over two weeks before the old car was paid off and all the while I recieved harrassing calls concerning that due payment from the old finance company. After a week I decided to take my car on a trip to Florida. The day before my planned departure I decided to go over a few more points of the car with my owners manuals. It was only then I discovered the vehicle did not have a spare tire. This was not covered by the salesman at all while he went over the car with me. I decided to give him a call for information concerning the purchase of a spare tire kit, but he informed me he was busy and would call back later that day. It's been a week and no call. As this was my first new car purchase in 16yrs it should have been a pleasurable experience. But thanks to your staff, I was robbed of that initial joy. More

I purchased the vehicle of my choice. Which was a CERTIFIED 2011 HHR (Chevrolet) but upon leaving the dealership (after the test drive, which was fine) I began to hear loud screeching noises. I was CERTIFIED 2011 HHR (Chevrolet) but upon leaving the dealership (after the test drive, which was fine) I began to hear loud screeching noises. I was on the interstate doing roughly 65-70mph when I continued to hear the screeching noise and the right driver wheel began to shake when the brakes were applied. I found the closest auto repair shop. Upon pulling up and the mechanic looking at the car he pointed out the stems where not holding the lugs properly, and that there was a bolt that was MISSING FROM THE BRAKE ROTOR TO THE WHEEL. Needless to say, I am blessed to be alive, because that was very dangerous for me to be driving at a high rate of speed and missing bolts from the tire. I ended up being stranded at the mechanic shop for 3-4hours. I missed class that night which cost me money and assignments. I had to pay out my pocket for the mechanic to look at the vehicle (which I was reimbursed, after I had to repeatedly state that I needed the money, and was expecting to be out of pocket after I had just made a large down payment that day. I was finally picked up at 9pm that evening by Nick (Rivergate Location MGR). He continued to state he didn't know how or why it happened, but not once acknowledged it was there fault and that it was highly dangerous. He promised I would have my vehicle "that I had just purchased" back the next day. Upon speaking with Mr. Winkfield I was told, "NO" Ms. Baker your car won't be fixed today, they hadn't towed it in yet. Needless to say this entire ordeal was becoming a nightmare for me. On Thursday I finally got a call from Mr. Winkfield in regards to my vehicle. Instead of him calling about the car I HAD CHOOSE the HHR, I was informed "I got a great deal" for you. We can put you in a 2013 Forte. I stated I DON'T WANT A SMALL CAR. He continued to press the issue and speak about the perks of the Forte, I continued to say, I don't want a small car. I finally agreed to come over and look at the Forte, because it didn't seem like he was not going to stop trying to sale me this car. Upon seeing the car, sure enough I DIDN'T WANT THE CAR. He still continued to try to sell me the car, telling me about a promotion that was going on. Finally, I got agitated, and I said Marcus, you aren't listening to me I don't want a Forte; I want my HHR THAT I CHOOSE. I asked was it being worked on and he informed me NO it wasn't. So, I was very confused and concerned at this point. WHAT'S GOING ON???? Needless to say, I was talked into a 2013 Kia Soul, which I didn't want, but felt I had no choice. Because he said that the Kia and the Forte was my only options. I explained to him that I really didn't want the white Kia Soul, because he had just sold my sister one about a month or two prior. He said the other one was sold and the there was two more in the back and he never bothered to tell me about them. When I asked him, he said Ms. Baker we will do whatever to make your car different than your sisters, but we can't do anything trade you out. I was offered tint and rain guards. I am sadly, disappointed because I now have a higher note than I originally wanted, and I am not satisfied with the vehicle because it’s not what I choose, it’s what I had to settle for. When speaking with Mr. Winkfield, I was advised that If I was so unhappy, and was going to give a bad review. I could just bring the vehicle back, because I was lucky he had given me a vehicle. I felt that was highly unprofessional and not call for. So I have not spoken with Mr. Winkfield since. I have tried to contact Mr. Nick Hunter several times and he won't return my call. At this point I feel like I’m stuck with a vehicle that is going to cost me an arm and a leg to afford, because someone else’s mistake. VERY UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER. More

MR Avery was very kind and accommodating to me as I went in very upset with another KIA dealer from another area. They were all very interested in the problems I had and what they could do to assist me. I in very upset with another KIA dealer from another area. They were all very interested in the problems I had and what they could do to assist me. I left with my Candy Apple Red Soul with much better feeling about the dealership and the abilities of the service department. Mr. Avery was gracious in getting me several trial vehicles before I made my decision. I feel they will be very accommodating if I face any problems. More
