Unexpected Buyer I had no intention of buying a new car however, when my daughter totaled my 2yr old KIA coming back to the Universal KIA family just made sense. False credit claims, inattentive email responses First: I received an email ad from Universal Kia, after visiting the website to check prices. The ad promised a "free credit pre-approval" with no ob First: I received an email ad from Universal Kia, after visiting the website to check prices. The ad promised a "free credit pre-approval" with no obligation, that "would not affect my credit score." However, as I found out only recently while pursuing a mortgage on some property, TWO inquiries-- HARD inquiries-- were made by Universal Kia at Hickory Hollow totally without my authorization. These HAVE affected my credit scores. This should not have been done! Secondly, although I initially inquired and received ehicle information from one sales person, and informed them NOT to call (email only), they still called--- or texted me-- at least three different times, with different sales people. Are you that desperate? And when I complained about the credit inquiries, I received a poor response that included more sales talk than answers (Boyer). One salesperson identified only as "internet coordinator" wanted to "touch bases" with me-- a phrase they used twice. Enough baseball metaphors! I'm sure you have many satisfied customers. I'm not one of them. The credit agency I'm dealing with says I should "get a lawyer." That's not my way. I think an apology, though, is a lot better than excuses for "why" it happened. More
