Mrs Henson, Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. I have talked to the people involved and have a fair idea of what transpired. We try very hard to take care of our customers so obviously we were surprised to see this scathing review since they offered to let you out of the purchase completely, but instead you resigned all of the paperwork, twice. I think everything fell apart when we didn't get to meet/talk to you until everything was done and you were signing the paperwork. I will try to touch on all of your points, please forgive me if I miss anything since some of them are actually connected. We add factory equipment and packages to our vehicles to increase their value, we also paint seal all of our new vehicles before they are available for sale for the same reason. The nitrogen that replaces the air in the tires increases tire life and helps prevent pressure fluctuations which causes excess treadwear and irritation. We also provide you with two years of free oil changes (something you obviously weren't told when you were signing the contract). Your initial approval was with Chase, but they had concerns after your phone call with them, so we had to regroup and change lenders. We chose to send your application to Chrysler Financial and they approved it at a lower subvented rate than Chase, but they reduce the amount of the rebate when that happens. We typically try to use an approval that allows you to use the full rebate because it is better for you, the customer. The average trade cycle is approximately three years, so in the long run, you're better off to have a lower amount financed than just a marginally lower payment. The term of the loan is actually set by the lender and it makes no difference to us if you choose to go a longer/shorter term. I personally would recommend GAP insurance to any customer, it is relatively cheap peace of mind and can be a lifesaver in the event of a total loss. Your point that we make money from the rebate is incorrect. The manufacture's rebate reduces your amount financed but we don't keep any of that money, it goes directly to you. I would hope that if you had actually been in the store and Paul had been able to go over the truck front-to-back that you would have been more comfortable with the process. I truly understand that you bought a car as a gift for your husband, and because of a lack of communication, you now have a bad taste in your mouth over the transaction. If I can do anything to help with the situation, or just to provide a friendly ear to vent to, I would be glad to sit down with you and go over everything one step at a time.
