Unfortunately, the car my wife drives needed an alternator a week later so I delayed the work on my Dodge Ram. Todd did not bother me at all about having my work done; he simply offered to schedule the work when I was ready. On the day of service, everything went smoothly and the work was done properly and when promised. Best of all for me, almost all of our communication was via text which was very efficient. More

Be ready to be ripped off Integrity or lack there of... This was our take away from our recent visit to University Dodge. First of all I believe when you make a mistake, you o Integrity or lack there of... This was our take away from our recent visit to University Dodge. First of all I believe when you make a mistake, you own it! When you misdiagnose a problem and charge your customers for an unnecessary part, you should in good faith and good conscience reimburse them! When your technician hurried through a diagnostic and missed the fact that the car needs an oil pump and not an oil pressure sensor, you fix the issue. The last thing any small company should strive for in a small town especially in the days of social media is dissatisfied customers! So let me just fill you all the way in... First they said it’s a sensor (which it wasn’t even the correct obd2 code) which they said would cost $700... they tried to tell us it would take 4 hours for their technician to do the work, well my husband is a mechanic, and I am a “mechanic” on google and iTube, so I know what it takes... so when we came back with you know that isn’t right what you are trying to charge, they said well how about $340 and we will charge you 2 hours of labor bc our books say you have to remove the intake to keep it covered under warranty, so ok at this point my choice is pay them and if it doesn’t fix it they are responsible or pay them $130 diagnostic fee and if it doesn’t fix it then I’m out $130. So I said go ahead, I felt like I was between a rock and a hard place. They call me 45 minutes later to tell me my car was done? But still charged me 2 hours labor! (Found our that dealerships charge based on what they think it would take a normal person to do the job, how messed up is that?). So pick up the car, drive half mile down the road and the check engine light is back on... now let me back up just a tad, the check engine light was our chief complaint, had been on for about a week, my husband read the code, it read obd2 PO6DD, which is oil pressure control circuit stuck off. So my husband opts to start with oil change which he did, changed the air filters, etc, erased the code and it came right back on. Called the dealership that Monday to inquire, he was told by a technician that it was most likely an oil pump, could be entire motor, but that code is for the closed circuit and because it was under 100,000 miles the Powertrain warranty would take care of it so we decided to call back and schedule for a visit on my next off day, which means it had a BRAND NEW aftermarket filter on it. Now back to the story, we return the car into the shop on Friday where I tell them I want it looked into properly because obviously it wasn’t the sensor! Here’s the best part, it was the oil pump... Their claim is the brand new oil filter has come apart, now let me tell you, I can’t prove it was cut, but it had the most perfect cut along the edge, (we have it), they say their was debris in the oil pump so they won’t be filing a claim for warranty and out of the goodness of their hearts they have agreed to cover the oil pump! Now remember the check engine light was on before the new oil filter was placed and the technician we originally spoke with had already told us what was most likely the issue, they tried to way overcharge me for the first visit (the sensor), they still overcharged us... Had they done things right and not took advantage of us and lied to us, this review would be so different! I’m not sure where the corruption starts but unfortunately I don’t see where it ends either... Integrity was the word that keep resignating with me... I really wish things had been different, word gets around fast in a small town and there is nothing worse than an upset customer with a large reach! My advice find another service department! More
