Frame Recall Work performed: 2003 Toyota Sequoia Limited Due to a recall, replaced the frame of the vehicle Additional work was recommended by the dealer technic Work performed: 2003 Toyota Sequoia Limited Due to a recall, replaced the frame of the vehicle Additional work was recommended by the dealer technician since the SUV was in excellent condition, I thought it would be easier for the technicians to install new parts instead of rusty parts and while it was taken apart replace parts that would need to be done in the future. Keep in mind, none of the work needed to be done except the catalytic converter. Water pump, struts, shocks , 2 front axles, 2 front brake calipers, spark plugs, timing belt, bolt joints, front sway bar, transmision fluid. Catalytic converter & oxygen sensor. Repaired rust over rear weels and scratch on the front bumper. Problem with work performed: brakes we’re not bled , fluid didn’t look clear (new) when work was redone elsewhere Both brake calipers had to be replaced ( One was redone by Toyota, I had to pay again) Oxygen sensor inserted into exhaust but not attached ( missing both nuts) fell out after some time and made the check engine come on. After coming back to Toyota, I was told I needed the other catalytic converter replaced. Cost $2300 . I reattched the sensor myself for the cost of two nuts. Upon replacing the frame, Toyota scratched the rear bumper which they said they will repair. Found Some missing bolts in the engine compartment and interior was put back together in a sloppy manner. Boots on both axles cracked after 5 and 10 thousand miles ( I had to pay again) When I came to get the catalytic converter and frame done, the car had zero problems. After the repairs, I have had nothing but problems. My car was in the shop for 5 weeks, can I trust Greentree Toyota’s service that my car still has the original engine and transmission with low miles? Who knows. I tried to find out but there’s no way to verify. I was 100% satisfied with the 11 year old Sequoia (which I bought brand new) until Greentree Service touched it. I always thought I would buy another Toyota but I am ready to sell and will not buy another toyota. I contacted the Greentree Toyota Dealer, the head manager at their service and head quarters in CA, no one seems to care I left their service shop twice with bad brakes and parts that only lasted a few months. More
