I recently purchased a Nismo 350z from greater Chicago motors, and it was definitely an enjoyable experience. I buy a vehicle roughly every 1.5 years and I tend to upgrade as I go. I had been looking into new vehicles, but I wasn't overly satisfied with any until I found the nismo at GCM. I decided to give them a call and see what I could find out about it, and thus begins my dealings with Demetri. He was very helpful in answering any and all questions I provided, and we had lined up kind of a ballpark on what we were looking to get for our cars (he on the nismo, and I on my trade in). I live approx. 400 miles away, so all of our contact was over the phone/email. I sent many pictures of my trade in, and after some negotiation we came to a fair deal on both ends. I had never bought a car out of state before, but Demetri was more than helpful in making sure everything transitioned smoothly. After waiting for weather to create a travel window, I made the trek and everything went just as expected. One small note: I had never been to Chicago before, and after the drive, the sun had set. GCM's facility was not difficult to find, and I was asked to pull to the rear of the facility to the garage entrance to see my car. Downtown Chicago, at night, in a dimly lit alley behind an unknown facility, was fairly sketchy. All nerves were eased as a garage door arose to reveal a Porsche cayman, along side a few Maserati's, among other various (and beautiful) vehicles. Being a mechanic and a z owner, I gave it a thorough inspection, and the car was every bit as immaculate as expected. Went for a test drive and loved it, and then headed to their finance guy. A low tire pressure light appeared on the way to the finance person, and when the paperwork was finished, I was taken back to GCM to ensure proper inflation of all tires (one rear tire was borderline low, and they filled to spec before I departed). Approx. 5 hours later, I was home without any trouble at all. All in all, everything went well and I have no complaints. More
I bought a car last weekend from GCM. Delighted with the car, and feel I got a decent price on the car and my trade in. I filled in the online form and Demetri who looked after me, called very quickly to schedule the appointment and again an hour before my appointment to confirm my arrival time so he could ensure the car would be out and ready when I got there. All went well, and I figure I need say no more than I'll be more than happy to deal with DEmetri again in the future. As good a car buying experience as I have had, and the car is in perfect nick, as was advertised. Demetri has since followed up that he has secured the spare key for me, so clearly my view on the after sales service experience at this point is very positive too. How many other dealers would have just said "right, I have his money", and wouldn't be bothered do any more. Overall, experience was very good - I had to go to a different location to complete paperwork and granted, so the only issue I had was that I was some time in the waiting room, but in fairness, Rich (I think was his name, not sure) was very apologetic having got delayed with some additional requests from another buyer. So, all good from my perspective. More

I was impressed by their facilities and the location of their facilities, it was incredibly easy to drive the new Escalade Ext right on to the interstate. My wife and I were in the market for an EXT when I called Mark and he said he'd get us in it. Our credit was lacking with not much history and I started to get discouraged and was going to settle for a lesser vehicle, but Mark said theyd get it done. I got an email a day later saying we were approved and it was just shocked. We are from ND so we took a train down the following weekend and Mark picked us up from our hotel, he was a very genuine sincere guy and really cared about our well being and the whole experience of us buying from him. It honestly was like we were great friends for years. Anyway it only took about an hr after being picked up that we were driving off in my dream car and I still cant believe it till this day that we got such a beautiful truck for that price with such low miles and a warranty still. Its the place to go and I will buy from them for sure next car I get. More
I would not recommend using this dealership for out of state purchases. I trusted the dealership and bought this car sight unseen and was assured the car was in BRAND NEW condition. Upon receiving the vehicle it had approx. 4 small chips in the paint and the passenger window had a section 2 inches wide and approximately 5 inches long that was etched/scratched. I notified the dealership and was told to see if it could be repaired and I’d be reimbursed. I obtained 3 separate opinions (a detailer, a MINI dealership and an auto glass repair company) all of which said it had to be replaced not repaired. I provided 2 written estimates to the dealership. I called to follow up as they had not responded to my email. I was then told the “owner” didn’t want to pay the expense. I expressed that was not acceptable and was told “it’s a used car…its just a few scratches, you didn’t tell us for 3 days...” (I received the car late on a Sat afternoon and notified them Mon morning) Again told them this is not acceptable and had to argue with the salesman. He then said he’d work on the owner to see what he could do for me. I received a callback probably less than 2 minutes (hardly enough time to have a conversation with anyone) with “good news! We’ll do you a favor and take care of the window but you have to do me a favor and leave me a good review right now.” I declined and said the review would be left after the window was taken care of and was met with “you aren’t being nice…I said I’d take care of it you have to trust me”. I stopped being nice and trusting once I started getting jerked around. After doing my due diligence the response should have been “sorry for the inconvenience we’ll have that taken care of”. Instead they argued and tried to make excuses for why this was my problem not theirs. Since then I have reconsidered letting them deal with the window replacement or paint chips. I’ll take care of the $200 window and give them their review. Be aware they charge an extra $300 for some polycoat you don’t have the option of declining and I have no idea what it actually cover. The warranty information is vague at best and states if damages occur (not sure what kind of damages—paint damage isn’t apparently covered) as the “result of a loss of gloss”? Also they don’t know the vehicles they sell. My 2012 MINI convertible which came fully loaded with every upgrade package MINI sells except it didn’t have a power top—its manual. I didn’t know this till I had paid to have the car shipped from Chicago to Arizona. Granted they didnt advertise power top, but cruise control wasn’t advertised either but the car had cruise control. Why would I ask what seemed an obvious thing the car would be equipped with. I called after receiving the car to see how to open the top and they apparently thought it had a power top too. In any case I would have negotiated on the price instead of paying the asking price or not bought the car had that been known. Buyer beware. The shipping I was advised and charged for was $800 when the shipping receipt was $700. Just an FYI. More

Before I had the opportunity to meet Mark, I had experienced an overwhelming feeling of anxiety looking for a car. To me a car is a big investment and I wanted it to be perfect. I found a used Toyota online at Greater Chicago Motors. It was in great shape and had less than 50,000 miles on it. I called and spoke to Mark Reed. He had a real personality and my intuition told me he was a genuine guy. I was on a deadline to buy and was far from Chicago so I went right into numbers with Mark. I decided to finance half of it. Mark was able to talk to the bank and give me numbers within that same day. The next day, I went in to see it and I loved it. Two hours later I had my car! It was really that easy. When you go into Greater Chicago Motors, you immediately feel welcomed. The dealership has a small town, we care about our customer mentality. All of the employees were helpful and friendly. Mark is easy to talk with, takes pride in his work, is professional, and made me feel his attention to customer service and my happiness with my purchase was paramount to doing business with him. I would recommend him to anyone, and know the next time I am shopping for a car that he will be one of the first places I will start my search. More

After finding the exact car we were looking for, I stopped by Greater Chicago Motors for a test drive. I was greeted by Maciej who was a Porsche expert (10 years at a Porsche dealer). In addition to being an awesome resource, he was friendly and really accommodating in showing us all the features. Considering all the custom features the vehicle offered, the price was awesome compared to our search over the past 6 months. While the 22" wheels may not be perfect for winter driving in Chicago, they offered an additional set of winter rims / tires at no cost. They even offered to do a few small custom features my wife was looking for. All in, the indoor lot is awesome, the selection of cars is terrific and the friendly, knowledgable service from Maciej (and the manager Barry) makes this a highly recommended dealership. We will definitely be back and be thrilled to refer our friends to Maciej and Barry at Greater Chicago Motors. It is a great to receive such terrific service. More
