Scammers! Me and my girlfriend went there to buy a car which I saw on there website. It looked posh and flawless in the pictures; but when I went there it had e Me and my girlfriend went there to buy a car which I saw on there website. It looked posh and flawless in the pictures; but when I went there it had every possible defect in it. All 4 tires were worn out, tail light was broken, brakes were gone, huge dents in the car; made me think how did they even click those flawless pictures. We were talking to Demetri when Barry barged in. It was kinda late and he wanted to sell the car, so he directly asked us if we could make a deposit the same day. Although we were not ready to do that, we said yes because he wouldn't negotiate until we said yes. After some negotiations, Barry enticed us into paying $500 as deposit by reducing the price of the car. His words "I just want this car out of my xxxxxxx showroom." He said there are no mechanical defects in the car and that everything works fine except for the tires (which was visible). He also said they had done a mechanical check and made repairs accordingly. After we gave him the deposit, he left the showroom the next minute. Later that night, we thought since the car has a lot of defects, we would ask them if we can get a mechanical check done, so that we are on the same page about the condition of the vehicle. My girlfriend called Barry the next morning. She tried asking him for our deposit back since we were having cold feet about the car, he replied with a flat no. He said you guys can go ahead and dispute the charge but I am NOT going to give you guys the deposit back and kept the phone on her face. Later he calls her back, says we can get a mechanical check done and if the repairs are worth more than 1000 bucks apart from the tires, he will give the deposit back. They tried to convince us to take the car to a mechanic of their choice but we wanted to take it to someone would not be biased/bribed. So my girlfriend took it to Damen Auto care, which was only 0.8 miles from their showroom. The guy there was nice and asked her not to worry as he will let her know the true condition of the car. He calls her after an hour, tells her that he has performed 30% of the checks and doesn't need to go further with it. He said the car is in lemon condition. Need atleast 3-4 grand worth of repairs and it is nothing but junk! She was shocked. She went to Barry with the car report and asked him for the deposit as he had promised. Now he was so rude to her; no one would imagine that anyone, let alone the general manager of a multi million dollar company, could say this to a girl. He said "Go figure out your xxxx, I will not return your deposit. Get the xxxx out of my office and never show me your xxxx-face again!" Seriously?? Is this how you talk to your customers? She started crying. He asked Demetri to get the car back from the repair shop and let her give the money for repairs. Demetri went to the Damen Auto repair, took the car and gave that mechanic a look. I was not there the whole time because I was in my office and I was supposed to go there to give them the check after everything was done. Barry literally humiliated her and it was pathetic! She didn't go from there as $500 is not a small amount for us. She stood there and kept asking for our deposit back. We could not afford 3-4 grand on repairs. Demetri was decent enough to remind Barry that she was a girl and that he should not talk to her like the way he did. It was pathetic whatever he did! Just because we were not rich enough to buy the 100,000 dollar cars there, he would treat us like that!! This was evident when later on a couple came to shop for a Porche; he again got so sweet to my girlfriend and said he would return the deposit. He knew if she did not leave from there it would create a scene and that would clearly make him lose a huge sale. I would never recommend anyone to go there! I would give them 0 stars if possible. If you are selling something, you cannot be aggressive, atleast show some humanity when talking to people. I am happy we took the car to that mechanic who saved us a lot of money which we would have spent on a piece of junk!! These people lied to us throughout. First through pictures (they probably photoshop them), then by saying that car had nothing wrong except for the tires. Barry also lied when he said that the deposit was non-refundable. We went to chase back earlier that morning and the manager there said the receipt does not say non-refundable anywhere; so if we dispute the charge we would easily get it back!! I would thank God for saving us from getting scammed big time from these people! More
Friendly service and high quality used cars I travelled in from out of state with the intent of test driving and hopefully purchasing a new car. When landing at the airport, Demitri had a car waiting to pick me up at the airport to drive me to the dealership. Once arriving at the dealership, the car I wanted to see was already pulled out ready to drive. I walked around the whole warehouse and looked at various cars - all were very clean and well taken care of. There was no hassle in test driving the car and both Demitri and Barry insisted on driving it until I was comfortable with it. After deciding to purchase the vehicle, completing the paper work was easy. The overall experience was simple, no hassle, and they were very friendly and eager to answer questions and help. And, more importantly, I think they do a good job in identifying and bringing into their inventory high quality used cars - clean CarFax, exterior paint and interiors in great condition. I would recommend buying a vehicle from Greater Chicago Motors. More

Terrible dealership: purchased a car for $29000 and 5 days later have to invest $7000!!! normal??? here is my last email sent to Mark Reed: If I type my question maybe you will answer them without turning around and playing with me!!!! Your arrogance of calling me “my friend” is like laughing at my face when I try to explain to you my problem!!!. Your arrogance of calling me “frenchman” in trying to ridicule me makes yourself appeared very unprofessional!!! The paper work for the car were filled up on 4/29…correct….but I received the car on May 10 ( you booked the shipping company). I have used the car for 7 days and on May 12 contacted Barry Delissi with some issues (break noise, muffler silencor not working). I put the car for repair and got an estimate of over $3000 in repair ( the car was at the shop for 5 days (including a week end)…But Mr. Barry thought it was too much and asked me to get a second estimate. I went to porsche the next day and the car is still there since then…and all aftermarket parts that were promise to be in great working conditions are not working and need to be replaced: mufler, air intake… In addition to them, the two front axel, front driver seat motor, air conditioning hose ( AC was not working) and more repairs are needed….I am at $7000 down after spending $29000 with you promising me that this car was in great shape inside and out. I tried on several occasion to get the pictures of the car from you as you promised me when it was still at the shop but you always made excuse of why you could not…(they were adding a strip under front bumper that was missing…but then I received that car with no strip and found out the front bumper had been repainted…why??? why couldn’t you tell me the truth??). I also received a car with no gas at all in it ….I received a car with no manuals, and I received a car with two set of key (but one is not working at all) So Can you explain to me why is it normal in your mind that I can spend $7000 on a used car that I paid $3000 over KBB value (per the paperwork I received from your company)?? How would you feel if it happened to you? Can you give me the name of the owner so that I can contact him with my issues? I forgot to let you know “why I brought that car for repair to start with?” After having the car for 4-5 days…the engine light came up..…then ABS and PSM failure sign lighted up as well….So, do you still think it is a great car, in and out??? All relevant paperwork had been sent to me prior to my arrival which made the paperwork extremely quick and easy once on sight. After I had an independent inspection performed the sales staff accommodated my issues with very little resistance. The only down side to my experience was the weather. It was not a sunny day and the only location to view the car was in a dark warehouse making a thorough inspection difficult. I did have the opportunity to look the car over from their maintenance bay which helped as it also allowed me to see the car from up on a lift as well. An overall very good experience. More
