I first of all, had difficulty n getting my Genesis serviced because all calls were directed to an answering service and it was three days before O talked to a service representative. When I brought my car in to be serviced for what seemed to be an ignition or battery problem, I was told it was an alternator problem so they replaced the alternator. After spending almost 1300 dollars on the replacement alternator my car was returned to me with the same problem as before. More
I have a 2022 Santa Cruz first I take it to get service and bring up my windshield is cracked and would need it replaced with having the windshield protection contract also so then they tell me they work w and bring up my windshield is cracked and would need it replaced with having the windshield protection contract also so then they tell me they work with a third party company for that and they want me to do all the work to call them and get things set because they feel they are being a middle man and don’t want that so then they were supposed to take pictures and set that up then told me they didn’t take the pictures and need me to take them and send them to them so they can do it and then to me that’s xxxxxxxx and I shouldn’t have to do any work when I pay extra for the windshield protection so then after all of that still nothing happens and then maybe 2 weeks later the transmission blew on the cruz and I take it in to get that fixed which they did fix that but during that time I brought up the windshield again and they told me to just worry about 1 thing at a time and they’ll the transmission fixed and they’ll put the windshield in the notes which they didn’t and then I needed a loaner car so I can get to work and military drill after that being a xxxx show just to get a loaner car when my vehicle was fixed they supposedly tried calling me multiple times even tho I didn’t get a call but the service member emailed me to let me know so I then I brought the vehicle back in he said I tried calling you I said no you haven’t and I asked what number you called cuz I didn’t get nothing and he told me the number and it wasn’t mine so then I asked for him to get my contact info in the system and he said no they don’t need it so that’s some xxxxxxxx right there and really xxxxty so then I said did you get the windshield fixed and he tried acting like he didn’t know about so then he asked let me get your number so I can call you when that’s set up and he then went out and took pictures of the windshield and said he’ll give me a call now it’s been 2 weeks and nothing and I reached out to him with the email he reached out to me on and still no reply More
First, my Hyundai has been the best car ever as far as upkeep. Have always used dealer services and been happy with any place I have been until now. I called the dealer to make a 60000 mile service appt. on my 2013 Sonata that has not had a single issue since I owned it. Had trip planned to Kentucky, so seemed like due diligence. I left the dealership and noticed a periodic squeak on the drive home, but thought I must be imagining things. Took the car a week later on road trip and my husband diagnosed the sound immediately that hadn't existed before the "service". Then we return from the long weekend and 300 mile journey home, and the weather warmed up. Suddenly there is no air conditioning. It worked on the way to get the service, but not a week later. Called the dealer on way home to ask for them for a new appt. to review their checked systems list, marked as OK. The service person told me that I would have to pay for the visit and "things happen". End result, my husband banned me from going there and give them any more money. Went to local mom and pop shop. Said serpentine tensioners were worn (squeak sound) and the air conditioner was low. Both those were "checked" as good during my service. So the work that was actually needed was not noticed in a $500 service and I had to pay nearly the same to get repairs by someone else. Suggestion, go to Mentor Hyundai, or someone else. More
Wonderfully helpful to a family in need!! Our vehicle was subject to a recall, but showed no signs of the issue - until of course we were 6 hours and almost 400 miles from home! The closest dealership happened to be Great Lakes Hyundai, and the OH road commission tow truck took us there. We dropped in on them, with a dead vehicle, completely unannounced, and they were kind and gracious from the start. Ryan (the service advisor) had a rental for us within minutes of arriving, got all of our information, and started working the issue immediately. The service team was ultra-accommodating as we unpacked our vehicle and re-packed the rental so we could continue home with our two young kids. The service team was in touch with us through the whole ordeal, patiently and kindly answered all our questions, and coordinated everything for the repair and return of our vehicle. A few days after our car was returned to us, I had a follow up question, and called to speak with Ryan, who again professionally, kindly, and quickly answered my question. If we lived in the area, we would not hesitate to continue to do business with GL Hyundai and the team! More

My daughter bought at car at Great Lakes Hyundai and she had such a wonderful experience that I thought I would try Great Lakes Hyundai for service on my Honda CRV. The Service Consultant there named Ryan Hancock went out of his way to help me, and has been consistently helpful ever since. He is very professional, respectful and truly inspires confidence in that dealership. Everyone I have talked to there is friendly and obviously enjoys working there. What a great place to do business! More

I have to say the new service manager, Dustin, and their team is a hit! I loved Sheldon but some of his team, Kevin, were weak and poor in customer service. I had been given free oil changes so I had to go team is a hit! I loved Sheldon but some of his team, Kevin, were weak and poor in customer service. I had been given free oil changes so I had to go here for service and I am glad to say they finally have it right! Worst experience ever. Customer service rep Kevin was a huge jerk. He lied to us several times then he denied lying. He made my experience awful. Kevin checked me in and was completely disinterested in my problem and i would go so far as to say i felt completely ignored. The vehicle was bought new and i was under the impression there was a warranty my problem and i would go so far as to say i felt completely ignored. The vehicle was bought new and i was under the impression there was a warranty included,but from my experience the Dealer has by simple neglect decided not to honor the warranty and has voided any possibility of getting a proper repair done.
