I had an easy experience buying a gently used 2009 Honda. The car was put through service for a used car inspection and the only thing needing done was new brakes. They replaced all the brakes, did an oil change, full detailing, and even removed a scratch on the front bumper at no charge. The price was excellent, the value I got for my trade was excellent, and I have had zero problems with service or my car for that matter (I’ve had it one year now). I continue to go back for my service with them, even if some competitors are less expensive. The only negative thing I have to say is that the appointment to sign the paperwork took a little longer than I would have liked. Overall I am very happy with Great Lakes Hyundai. More

I have to say the new service manager, Dustin, and their team is a hit! I loved Sheldon but some of his team, Kevin, were weak and poor in customer service. Worst experience ever. Customer service rep Kevin was a huge jerk. He lied to us several times then he denied lying. He made my experience awful. We were looking to purchase a used car for our 16 year old, and we found one at Great Lakes that we were interested in. We went in and were helped by Julia. She was very friendly and helpful. There wasn't the high pressure that we were getting at other dealerships in the area that we had visited. We liked that she seemed honest and forthright with us. If we didn't like something, she didn't try to convince or confuse us for a sale (like another place we went to .... And left!). If she wasn't sure about something she said so, and went and found out. She worked WITH us, to find a car that met our budget and criteria for our son's car. We really appreciate her help, her low pressure demeanor, and calm patience as we looked and debated on what we wanted and for what price. We feel the price we paid was fair, and we will definitely look at Great Lakes Hyundai again for another car purchase in the future simply because Julia is there and we feel very satisfied and comfortable with the service we received from her. Kevin checked me in and was completely disinterested in my problem and i would go so far as to say i felt completely ignored. The vehicle was bought new and i was under the impression there was a warranty my problem and i would go so far as to say i felt completely ignored. The vehicle was bought new and i was under the impression there was a warranty included,but from my experience the Dealer has by simple neglect decided not to honor the warranty and has voided any possibility of getting a proper repair done. There are better dealerships to do business with. My experience began with calling the dealership to verify that they still had a particular vehicle available before making the roughly 1 hour commute to experience began with calling the dealership to verify that they still had a particular vehicle available before making the roughly 1 hour commute to see it. I was told that they had it and I let them know I was on may way to see it and would be there in about an hour. When my wife and I arrived at the dealership, I was told that the "service manager" had taken the vehicle home. I thanked the salesman who gave us the bad news and walked out. While standing outside, he came out to apologize and wanted to make things right. He offers to look over our trade-in and call me the next day with their best possible price and they'll deliver it to us if a deal is struck. Against my better judgement, I decide to give them a second chance and spend the time necessary to evaluate the trade-in. I did not receive a call the next day or any day since then. I still see the vehicle in their inventory, so it's not a matter of them not wanting to contact me to let me know it's been sold. It's simply a matter of them not knowing to maintain a good customer relationship. There are plenty of Hyundai dealerships in NE Ohio within a reasonable drive. My advice to anyone looking for a Hyundai is to avoid Great Lakes. More
