Free oil change fiasco Purchased car at another dealership for my 85 year old mom. We were told there was free maintenance included with the certified used car. Brought the Purchased car at another dealership for my 85 year old mom. We were told there was free maintenance included with the certified used car. Brought the car to Gray Daniels for service, oil change and tire rotation. The service guy that greeted me and said in a confident manner that there was no free service with used cars, didn’t pull vin number or anything. Told me that oil change and tire rotation would be $99. I pulled out of the stall and was headed out, thought I better check with the dealership we purchased from and pulled over in parking lot to call. The dealership assured me it was in the computer and any dealership should be able to see it, if not ask to see a manager. Pulled back in and explained to Doug he went to check and came back saying nothing was in the computer. Asked to see a manager, Phil, and he also said maintenance was not included. I called the dealership where purchased again, put them on speaker so the two managers, Jon Dowell was now included, could hear. The lady explained all the details to them, they still had to call to get an authorization to do the maintenance. Finally after an hour of waiting, making phone calls and talking with the three guys began the work...free as promised. The guys were nice thru all of this and Jon apologized for the delay and confusion. I am so glad I did not allow my 85 year old mom come here to get this done. I’m quite sure she would ended up paying the $99. More
