Used Car buying - Things to watch out for here Its been a little while since I bought a used truck here but I think people need to know. The timing of getting a deal done can take 4-6 hours. I asked for side steps and he said he would give them to me at cost $1200. Ford has them for $300-400 to the public. So I had the sales person take them off and returned them. They say there are mandatory zaptech and prep fees of $1200. Dont pay it. The finance person refused to give me the closing paperwork, he said the truck wasnt ready yet. Then when I went back to get the paperwork they said it had been sent off and still could not give me a copy. Finally got a copy in late May. I had to make 3 trips to get them. They will try to sell you the same car warranty that is at all Berkshire owned dealerships. Be aware they will show you the platinum coverage but filling out the paperwork they will give you bronze if you are not watching. This has happened to me twice at their dealerships. Good news is I caught it and cancelled in 30 days both times. Sales is sales but knowledge is power More

Not a trustworthy dealer in my experience I was in the market for a 2019 Mustang GT convertible and these guys had one. I started the conversation on the phone by asking if the car had been i I was in the market for a 2019 Mustang GT convertible and these guys had one. I started the conversation on the phone by asking if the car had been in hail since there have been quite a few storms since 2019, I was assured this car had not been in hail so I went to the dealership and made a deal. The day was a bit overcast and when I walked around the car, everything seemed fine. Several weeks later, I was at the gas station and I noticed hail damage on the rear quarterpanels - we have not had hail in DFW since my purchase and the car lives in the garage. I called my sales guy and he said he would have someone call me on Monday as this was a Sunday night. The person who called me identified himself as the customer loyalty director for grapevine ford - in my experience he was an arrogant bully who had zero empathy and basically wanted to get me off the phone. I understand that it was my responsibility to inspect the car; but you really have to have the right light to see the damage. This loyalty director deserves a gift card from the other Ford dealers in the area, as he is fantastic at sending customers to other dealerships as he has done with me. I really liked our sales guy and I feel bad he was put in the middle of a bad situation. It literally took me one phone call to confirm this car was at a dealership in Louisiana during a major hail storm - dealers do not have to report to Carfax damage less than $5,000 as I understand. I know someone knew something about this but they are being tight lipped. In my experience, grapevine ford answered my question untruthfully and I caution other consumers to make sure you fully vet the information provided by this dealer. It's funny that my wife really likes the new Lincoln products and the sales guy said we should come in when we are ready to buy - that will not happen. Buyer beware in my experience. More
NO CUSTOMER SERVICE After 15 months, nine times in the shop and 45 days without my car, my brand new 2019 Navigator has FINALLY been deemed a lemon. The transmission was slipping and the engine was burning oil. Lincoln told Grapevine Lincoln to put oil in the car and give it back to me!!! Lincoln refused to replace the engine as well as the transmission AND Lincoln Grapevine offered ZERO help! Sadly, I absolutely loved my Navigator. It had all the bells and whistles you could ever want but mechanically the car was junk. Please don't fall into the same trap we did. These are beautiful luxury cars but they are horrible and Lincoln/Grapevine Lincoln's customer service is by far worse than the vehicle they built. There is no customer service whatsoever! It was a horrible experience and I'm glad it is finally over. We are one and done for any Lincoln product in the future. As we went through this process we have discovered several other people that have had the same problem. Peter Menchaca was our service rep and he was the ONLY one that went to bat for us!! More
