I live in Bedford TX and know there Dear Consumers and Ford Motor Company, Grapevine Ford was despicable, horrible and treated me disgustingly. I live in Bedford TX and know there is high demand for the Platinum F150 with Powerboost Motor, as i had to call over a dozen Ford Dealerships to find a handful that were on the dealership's lot (collectively), in inventory. One I found in Fort Worth at David McDavid, had one for $73.2K, and Grapevine Ford told me they had two on the lot, one for $70k and one for $75k. I was very explicit that i was looking to buy today and they must be on the lot and have my desired features. I was assured by all that i called and was able to verify. At the time i was in Benbrook, and David McDavid had the one for $73.2k, but Grapevine had 2 and one of them being for $70k. I had to blow off the appointment i had with David McDavid, because the Grapevine Ford had one for lower, 2 color options and was closer to my house. Drove over 30 miles, past David McDavid to Grapevine Ford. Once I arrived at Grapevine Ford, the receptionist called a sales person to show me the vehicles. This was the person's first day, didn't have a login, took up 35m of time and then finally got to discussing the trucks I was assured were on the lot and then he announces, he is in the Used Cars department and cannot help me with my desired transaction. This was a little annoying, but innocent enough. He finally finds a New Car salesman, who, from the beginning, was annoyed as he had an appointment coming in 30m and I was obviously bothering him. This salesman, then gets me sat down, rushes my demands to quickly locate the vehicles I was assured were there. He then cannot find any two vehicles that matched the description and only could find one F150 that was platinum and had the powerboost motor. He pulls it up, tells me it is $74.5 and says we can "quickly" take a look, and he is beginning to be very rude and rubbing me wrong (like i want to be rushed when buying a $75K vehicle, and being treated like i am such a burden in his life). He takes me out to the truck and we are looking at it and it doesn't have some of the other features I was looking for (the forward folding middle console, moonroof, etc.), and then I asked him, "What was the sticker price on this again?" He Replies, "Seventy-four thousand, five hundred; but, WE are PROBABLY not going to sell it to you for that price. We are PROBABLY going to add like $5000, due to the demand of the Powerboost." I was SHOCKED, STUNNED, MORTIFIED, CRINGING, INFURIATED, AND DISGUSTED ALL AT ONCE. I just drove almost 40 miles to reach this dealership after they ASSURED me they had two Platinum F150s available for $70 and $75k. I held my tongue as much as I could because I couldn't think how to respond without being equally disgusting. I responded, "No, that is NOT going to happen." I then informed him I had a Perks at Work True Car buying program to get me employee pricing through my job at Cisco Systems. He assured me Grapevine ford will not be accepting this for the powerboost motor, even though I had it pulled up on the app, showing my price, matching the VIN number!!! He then tries to go get with his Director, leaves me waiting by a big banner in the Dealership: "Ford's 10 Commands of Ethics, inspired by the Greeks" I read over these while I waited, then he FINALLY comes back and says, I cannot get a definitive answer, and we can start filling out paperwork and get me to financing. APPALLING!!!!!!!!!! "Are you kidding me?! You stand right next to this banner of Ethics and treat me like you have me by my xxxxx! You are disgusting and I will never do business with anyone in this building. How dare you treat people like this. I can understand when demand rises for something, but that is to be known up front and you don't sit here and treat someone like this and waste someone's time like this, and acts annoyed and rushed when someone is here to do business with your company!" I really want this kid to be fired. I don't remember his name. But he sat next to two girls. The Girl with the Pink HP Laptop was Catty-corner to this "sales man". Monday April 26, 2021. Walked out. Drove back out to David McDavid in Fort Worth. Vinny honored the price, we also found the vehicle on my Perks at Work and were able to get the one he had for $73.2K at $69,230! My salesman, Vinny was a gentleman and real businessman and treated me with respect. Not only him, but the entire staff. I didn't get the moonroof, but I got the Platinum, in white, Powerboost Motor, excellent service and a fair price! Thank you David McDavid More
