Above and beyond. Took time to listen to what I needed and wanted. It was an unusual situation and they worked with me to the end. Great job. Took time to listen to what I needed and wanted. It was an unusual situation and they worked with me to the end. Great job. More
We visited Grapevine Ford initially just to look, not to buy, following earlier discussions with Matthew Hoopes about vehicle options; he was patient and unpressured, so we chose to work with him again. On buy, following earlier discussions with Matthew Hoopes about vehicle options; he was patient and unpressured, so we chose to work with him again. On July 26, on the way there, we stopped at 5-Star Ford in NRH: although they didn’t have our desired vehicle, they offered $12,000 for our Mazda MX-5. At Grapevine, Matthew was heading to a family event and referred us to Heather, who was polite and attentive. Grapevine had exactly the vehicle we wanted, and we started the buying process. Negotiations then deteriorated: the manager initially refused to honor our Ford X-Plan pricing and low APR, and slashed the Mazda trade-in from $12,000 to $8,300, attributing the difference to minor issues like tires. I made clear we wanted the best price, trade-in, and APR—or we’d go elsewhere. The manager ultimately agreed to $12,000 trade-in, X-Plan pricing, and the desired APR, then asked if I would sign the docs so he’s not keeping his salesperson here late? I replied that the drawn-out negotiations were the root cause. During financing, the interest rate on the paperwork didn't match our agreement. Joe, the finance guy, easily corrected it—but it felt deceptive. He was friendly but extremely chatty, delaying the process by 30 minutes. My wife and I wondered why a manager concerned about lateness assigned such a talkative person. We took delivery around 10 pm on a rainy night. Days later, we noticed scratches and swirling marks on the exterior vertical door panels—as if a stiff brush had been used, and we hadn’t even washed the vehicle. On August 1, I texted Matthew, asking if coarse cleaning was used. He responded: “Nothing rough used… these shiny trim pieces … scratch incredibly easy… Like a lint-free rag has been known to leave marks.” He said he’d contact Ford to see if anything could be done. He reached out again August 14 saying he was still waiting; we haven’t heard anything since. A few weeks later, the vehicle had a recall. We dropped it off and used the Uber service Grapevine provided—but by the end of the day, we had received no updates, and the vehicle wasn’t ready. My message went unreturned; my wife was put on hold and transferred to the front desk, where they eventually told her the service department was closed. Michael at the Lincoln dealership next door gave us the name of the service manager, Vinnie. The next morning, I spoke with James, who had promised the vehicle would be ready by the end of the previous day—but he was argumentative and said it’d take a few more hours. I then escalated to Vinnie, asked that James not contact my wife again, and Vinnie ensured the vehicle was serviced and ready—thanks to Peter. All told, a full recall fix took nearly 24 hours, even though it was just a software update. The overall experience has been good with Matthew, Heather, Peter, Michael (Lincoln), and Vinnie. More

The service center does not honor their appointments. I had an appointment and arrived 15 minutes early for an oil change. It took them 2 1/2 hours to complete my service. I had an appointment and arrived 15 minutes early for an oil change. It took them 2 1/2 hours to complete my service. More
This is the second experience with Grapevine Ford, and somehow they seem to have gotten worse. Now I no longer think this was a sales person or a manager problem, this level of scamminess is either overlooked by the management purposely or encourged. So visited Saturday, to look at a Mustang which was listed for 33k, their initial offer came in at ~43 OTD. Some back and forth and 2 managers we agreed on 38 including trade and that would be at 0 apr (if credit was good of course). We signed the 'intent agreement' (i guess that what youd calledit, countersigned by manager, and I filled out a credit app. 10 minutes later the sales person comes back and basically says that they included a 1250 rebate which conflicts with the 0 apr, so the deal would be either i pay an extra 1250 or I go to a non promo apr. Had this been disclosed, I wouldve said thanks, we can't make a deal, have a nice day. But no they decided to pull some scammy crap (the credit app is the oldest trick in the book, as it makes the customer feel invested, they already filled it out and are approved, if they go elsewhere they need to go through the hassle of doing it again, etc). These tactics are precisely the things that people despise about car dealers. So make your own choice, I for one will stay away from definitely Grapevine Ford and Toyota, and possibly all Berkshire dealerships if this is how they do business. More

He took care of everything before we got there and then took the time to explain everything about our new vehicle including connecting our phones. Devyn from financing worked hard to get us the perfect deal. He even called us late at night while we were traveling because he had got busy and had not been able to touch base with us. They definitely have a customer for life! More
