When i checked out the car, the sales man treated me very good, did not agrue with me with numbers, and did everything to get the car for me and quick. altough, i was not told the title was lost untill i signed all the papers, made a down payment, so i had to wait. this car is very nice and a whole lot of fun. it was well worth it up untill i relized i actully had a proablem with the car. at first i though it was just me, but it doesnt take 2 weeks to get used to a car. ive driven many many cars and have been driving stick for longer than ive had my license. i know cars, and i know how to drive stick. i know there was somthing wrong with my car so i had it checked out by a few friends and a honda dealer ship. there was CLEARLY somthing wrong with my transmission. i brought it back to the dealer told them about the problem and was told i was driving the car wrong and he was trying to teach me how to use a clutch. i was told to stop driving the car a particular way that made it happen 100% of the time and ill be ok. but it still happen to me at other times. when theres a car problem, they only get worse down the road. i paid good money for an extended warentee and they would not fix my car. Service tried to play me because im just an 18 year old kid. they waisted my time and gas. i live over an hour away. they also returned my car with a bubble in my tire when he was "taking it on a hard ride". now i have to rush to get my car fixed for honda day coming up soon. i was planing on taking it on the drag strip. Service was a compleat joke. but i must say, all sales people, phone operators, and managers were great and respected me. More

The 2nd time, I found another beauty, but my insurance would have cost me as much on the pre-owned as on a new car. So I had to renegge on the 2nd car. My salesman was Tom Merrifield, and his Mgr, Marc Barnaby, 2 good people. They were very professional and courteous. As of this the date of this review, I am the proud owner of another pre-owned car from a dealer closer to home. Thanks again Tom & Marc for all your efforts on my behalf... More

Recommended, But with Serious Caveats To submit this review, the website required me to say whether or not I recommend this dealership. I think this question is irrelevant, as every purcha To submit this review, the website required me to say whether or not I recommend this dealership. I think this question is irrelevant, as every purchase depends on the circumstance of the buyer. I certainly recommend looking into what this dealership offers, but prospective buyers should bear in mind serious caveats. I recently bought a certified pre-owned 2010 Subaru Forester from Prime Subaru. I’ll focus on a handful of key points: QUALITY: The quality of the vehicle was fairly high. I took it to my mechanic, and he said it checked out well given the mileage (60,000). Nonetheless, the mechanic highlighted two issues: the rear rotors had been ground, but needed to be replaced; and the transmission fluid needed to be flushed. More on these two issues below. SERVICE/REPAIRS: I asked my salesman if Prime Subaru would replace the rear rotors and flush the transmission fluid per my mechanic’s recommendation, and he said that they would. Moreover, the next day my salesman said that they had done so. Yet, when I asked for written confirmation of the service after I signed the paperwork to purchase the vehicle, the finance manager told me that this service “had not been promised” and thus had not been performed. Such reneging was by far the lowest part of my experience with Prime Subaru. PRICE: The price advertised online was about $2,000 lower than the sticker price, as seems to be industry norm. The salesman and general manager both told me the price advertised online was fixed and, thus, final. Given the quality of the vehicle, I figured the price was fair enough. BUT, in completing the final paperwork, the finance manager added a “vehicle registration fee” of $349. He told me this is standard for all their sales. I’ve subsequently learned that this “fee” is a common way for dealerships to make more money; waiting until the last step in the sale certainly makes sense for them, as I – and buyers in general – just want to get out the door at that point. I paid this fee, but it left a less than savory taste in my mouth. FINANCING: On the upside, the finance manager got me a very good financing package: 1.74% APR at a local credit union. On the downside, he overstated the monthly price by $10, which I realized only after I ran the numbers at home. I fear that I would’ve been stuck at the higher price if I hadn’t done this due diligence. Also on the downside, when the finance manager offered me an extended warrantee, he discussed only that it was $10 more a month (in reality $20 more), omitting entirely the higher cumulative price. Granted, such an omission isn’t uncommon in sales, but it (further) undermined my trust in the transaction. Moreover, this finance manager said I had to decide on the extended warrantee immediately; I learned later that I could’ve waited at least until the end of the day on which I had purchased the vehicle – and likely longer. Initially, I signed up for an extended basic warrantee, but I canceled it the next day after recognizing it wasn’t worthwhile. OVERALL: On the upside, I can report that I’m pleased with the vehicle quality and the financing package that the dealership secured. On the downside, this dealership reneged on its verbal promise to perform a pair of repairs, added a substantial fee to what they said was already the “final” price, overstated my monthly payment, omitted the full magnitude of the cost of an extended warrantee, and pushed me to decide on this warrantee immediately when in reality I had far more time to decide. By the end of the transaction, I was asking for confirmation in writing of all verbal assurances because my trust in the process had pretty much evaporated. Perhaps that’s common of all such purchases, but I certainly hope not. In closing, prospective buyers should know they can get a good quality car and a good financing package through Prime Subaru, but they should also take all appropriate measures to cover their bases. A Wonderful Salesman We Never Met I'm writing this review to let everyone know that my wife and I has been purchased a new 2014 Suburu XV CrossTrack SUV from Prime Suburu, Hudson, NH c I'm writing this review to let everyone know that my wife and I has been purchased a new 2014 Suburu XV CrossTrack SUV from Prime Suburu, Hudson, NH car dealership received an excellent customer service from Mr. Michael Wright has treated us so nice. He did not pressure us into the purchase of this new vehicle at all. First time we stopped by the dealership was kind of late Wednesday evening off from work. Our first option car was to purchase a Suburu Impreza. But with a few questions from Mr. Wright and answers from us, Mr. Wright has helped us to aim at an SUV in the show room of which we really like the vehicle a lot but not the color at that time. Prime Suburu did not have the color of our choice. So we promised Mr. Wright that we'll return back to him for the car. When we returned to Prime Suburu dealership to meet with Mr. Wright help us get what we want. Mr. Wright took his time with us to guide us through the purchase of our new vehicle. Long story short, we are so happy and satisfied with Mr. Wright customer service performance. I would recommend him to all my friends, relatives and family to go to him. I would also recommend to all Suburu car hunters to try him out. You get nothing to lost. Thank you very much Mr. Wright for your outstanding service. Keep up your excellence work. bm Westford, MA More

We purchased a new Forester there and traveled 180 mile from NY to do so. It was worth it. The first and only time we actually visited the dealership was to pick up are new car up and drop off the old one. The sale and trade in were all arraigned via emails and phone calls. We worked with Elaine and Chris and they handled all the details without a hitch. We were out of the dealership and on our way in the new car in about an hour. We would definitely deal with them again. Fred & Barbara More

The service department quickly discovered the problem was the result of improper mounting and balancing of the tires I had gotten at a national tire store. The Prime service writers, Walter, Randy, and Christie, were both helpful and professional. The technician who worked on the car was extremely knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the problem. He recommended force balancing which is very hard to do and requires a high level of expertise. Consequently, the problem was solved. He also made the observation that one of my brand new tires had been improperly mounted and was out of round. The whole Prime service team was courteous and a pleasure to deal with. They arranged for a loaner so I would not be inconvenienced. I can't say enough about how I was treated as a service customer and how efficiently the problem was taken care of. I will return to Prime every time I need to have work done on my car. More

He bought the car that Derek picked out, the same day, and has already also received stellar support after the sale. From the start, Derek was attentive to my BIL's needs (remote tailgate controls, etc), and although new to the brand, Derek easily chose a model from the lot for our test drive that had a very appropriate set of options for my BIL. Derek let much of the Forester sell itself, pointing out only those subtleties that fit our situation. Following the test drive, we indicated we needed to leave to transport my father-in-law (94 yrs old) to a doctor's appointment. Derek offered us the use of the vehicle. Doctor's appointments were the primary use of the vehicle, and seeing how easily my FIL was able to get in/out of the car was critical. A win-win situation if the Forester fit the bill. (Very perceptive on Derek's part) Upon returning the car, my BIL surprised us with a decision to purchase the car, as it worked fabulously for my FIL as well. Derek continued his post-purchase support regarding registration issues, even through this morning, ensuring all the paperwork was satisfactory for my BIL. Superlative work from Derek, their finance rep (Jeff - also assistive, not pushy), and the staff. Thank you to Derek and Prime Subaru for a wonderful experience. More

Michael Wright was fantastic I recently purchased a 2015 WRX. I worked Michael Wright, and the transaction was timeless. It took 24 hours from the first phone call to your dealers I recently purchased a 2015 WRX. I worked Michael Wright, and the transaction was timeless. It took 24 hours from the first phone call to your dealership, to get the car to my door. I live an hour and a half away, and Mr. Wright made me feel like that we mattered. He did cared, and went above and beyond his pay grade in order to ensure our happiness. On his day off, he drove almost an hour and half to deliver the car to my door step. He was extremely kind, and I cannot thank him enough for what he did for me. I have purchased a lot of cars, from many dealers, but have never received service like Michael Wright provided me. The caliber that he just made for all future transactions is extremely high. As a small business owner myself, I appreciate the dedication that he puts into his job. Treating me with respect and dignity, he was a hell of a guy. More
