Car locked in drive mode at stop light, green light on etc As I pulled in- service was excellent. I explained issue to Laura at representative desk. Traverse I first have to say I have e mailed my survey back which I received from Grand Prize last week. I have been a customer at Grand Prize having purchase I first have to say I have e mailed my survey back which I received from Grand Prize last week. I have been a customer at Grand Prize having purchased my 2011 Traverse and 2015Acadia brand new and have had both vehicles serviced there. I have for the most part received excellent service with exception of last couple of visits.(surveys filled out no response).After recent visits and not being happy about visits along with no feedback after surveys, I was starting to have negative service experiences. Then along came my bigger problem, not with Grand Prize but with General Motors/Chevrolet. I was told that the check engine light on was the result of on going problem with 2009-2010-2011-2012 traverses timing chains which upon researching on computer, I found out my car was not the only one with same problem. Upon speaking with numerous GM representatives, I was told my VIN# was not on their list of cars covered. When I asked if my car and other GM/Chevrolet cars had the same problem as those who had been on the VIN # list, why weren't we covered. THEY HAD NO ANSWER. I bought the car back to Grand Prize and explained the problem with service advisor James K who was very helpful in getting matter resolved. Even though General Motors/Chevrolet agreed to assist in paying, I still had to pay out a large amount of money out of pocket for repair which appears to be General Motors/Chevrolet problem. I have always bought American made cars but was starting to give serious consideration towards cars with better warranties-Hyundai/Nissan/etc. However, James K help has restored my belief in General Motor/Chevrolet cars because he went out of his way to rectify this problem, kept me up to date on repairs and was very helpful in this matter.
