Very poor customer service On Friday 01/06/2018 I purchased a pre-owned diesel truck from this dealer. The price was over $30,000. I made it clear that my husband and I wanted t On Friday 01/06/2018 I purchased a pre-owned diesel truck from this dealer. The price was over $30,000. I made it clear that my husband and I wanted the vehicle for work purposes. We traded my current vehicle and put down $9,000. When we left the lot it was around 9pm and we noticed the tire pressure light was on. The following day we put air in the tire but noticed that two tires had a patch of rubber missing. Despite putting air in the tires the light was still on. We also noticed that weekend the brakes were squeaking loudly. My husband called and expressed his concerns about these minor issues and let them know he wanted them to address them as the vehicle we traded in had 4 brand new tires on it so we weren’t looking to purchase more tires on a new vehicle. Tuesday morning came and I went outside to start the vehicle to go to work and it wouldn’t start. I had to find other transportation to get to work and I was late as a result. I called the dealership and spoke with Maniche who suggested I take it to a dealership since I had a powertain warranty. Well I asked him how would I do that if the truck won’t start. I insisted he send someone to come tow the vehicle back to the lot to repair it and fix the other issues. The vehicle didn’t get towed until the following day which meant I had to find another ride to work. Then I had to ask about a loaner vehicle which I got the day after that. We were told they would replace the batteries, replace the two tires, and check out the brakes. We picked the truck up I believe that Friday which means the first week of owning the truck we didn’t even really get to drive it much! Well only one tire was replaced, the brakes were still squeaking and the batteries weren’t replaced but instead some other part associated with the battery was. The tire pressure sensor was replaced which fixed that issue. This week after getting the hitch and some other custom items installed in the truck which cost us $1,100 we discover that the truck is smoking under the hood and there’s a smell of anti-freeze. So I call back and speak with Maniche who once again suggested we take it to a dealership since we have a warranty. So I express to him that it’s likely an issue associated with the radiator which I didn’t believe would be covered under the warranty and he confirmed. So I told him that we do not agree with having to get this vehicle repaired at our expense being that it hasn’t even been 30 days since we drove it off the lot. Not only that but I expressed to him that I’m not sure this is going to be a reliable vehicle for us to use for work purposes. He stated that we could bring it back to the lot and he could have his guys try to look at it and fix it but we would have to pay for the parts. I told him that’s unacceptable because although it’s a pre-owned vehicle before you sell it to someone else there are certain screenings that the vehicle should go through and certain maintenance that should be done before you just throw it on the lot for sale. When you’re selling a vehicle for over $30,000 and your getting $9,000 down your customer should not have to be paying for repairs especially within the first 30 days! Whatever problems we run into he should gladly and willingly address for us as a token of appreciation for our business. But it’s clear he doesn’t hold the same ethical views as we do! So I told him that the bank called and asked if we were having issues with the truck and if he’s not willingly to give us the customer service we deserve then I can call the bank back to let them know the problems we’re having. He said he didn’t care because we would lose our down payment. No sir, we will not lose $9,000! I am in disbelief and highly disappointed with this dealer because I spent two evenings with them sharing how important it was for us to get the truck for our business. It seems to me that their only concern is to make a quick buck, not actually provide great customer service and sell good quality vehicles! So if you’re looking to purchase a pre-owned vehicle I highly encourage you to shop elsewhere because this dealer doesn’t stand behind the vehicles they sell. More
