There DO NOT – REPEAT – DO NOT BUY FROM GRAND MOTORSPORTS IN MARIETTA. I rarely write reviews, and have never taken time to post a negative review. There are several reasons for my opinion -- if only 1 minor reason, I’d chalk it up to a misunderstanding, mostly because I always want to believe people are good. I've bought cars from dealers before, and have never had this horrible of an experience. If you don't have time to read the rest, the bottom line is an apparent pattern of dishonest and non-transparent business practices. First, I noticed the seat lever was missing the handle. I asked if they’d fix it if I bought this car. He said yes. It wasn't -- and they won't fix it now. Before we agreed on a price, I also asked whether a second key existed because I learned in my pre-research that this was an important question to ask because replacements are expensive.. I was told the bank was holding it pending sale of the car. With my two primary concerns about the car addressed, we agreed on a price and signed a contract. The car, however, wasn’t ready because there were several quite large dents on the side of the car (undisclosed in the ad). They said they would repair them. But they were taking my car as a trade in, so gave me a loaner. Well, that evening, that loaner stranded me. It wasn’t until 3 pm the next day that they addressed this issue (yes, it was a Sunday, but I expected something a little earlier that day – and this only happened because I had to call them more than 10 times to keep following up). Why did they give me a loaner they didn’t even know was sound? This made me start questioning them right then – but I had a contract already Then, I went to pick up my new car later that week, and asked Woody again about the key. He gave me the same answer. Got into my car, seat lever wasn’t fixed. I asked again about the second key several about a week later, and they nonchalantly said that there is no second key, and if I want one, I’d have to pay for it. And, a couple of weeks later, the car I bought from them – which they said they had tested to ensure it was all good to go – also left me stranded. Like my loaner car before, the battery died. In this case, I learned from the towing service that it was because they sold me a car with a very weak battery. So, either they tested the car and knew about the battery and sold it anyway. Or they told me they tested it, but didn’t. So, if you choose to shop there, please be careful and do not trust them. More
