"New Subaru Converts" We purchased a new 2016 Subaru Forrester on April 21, 2016 at the Grand Junction Subaru dealership. The first person we encountered the previous week We purchased a new 2016 Subaru Forrester on April 21, 2016 at the Grand Junction Subaru dealership. The first person we encountered the previous week during our first trip to the dealership was Bert Whittenberg. We noted right away that Bert was not going to be an overbearing or pushy salesman, which immediately drew us to him, so we went back to him for more information and ultimately, the purchase. We proceeded to explain, as potential customers, what our wants, needs and conditions were for a new vehicle. We explained that we had looked at many, many various manufacturers/makes, and models, and were gathering information along the way...we were certain we wanted to go with a Subaru Forrester based on everything we read, and seen, along with other satisfied Subaru owners. Another good point was Bert did not try to sell us on another vehicle model, but instead concentrated on explaining everything he knew about the Forrester, which is exactly what we wanted and needed. We are sure that if there was an interest shown by us for a different vehicle, Bert would have been very accommodating. We had a great time while at the dealership, decided upon a vehicle of our choice, made a deal and felt we were treated very fair in our new car purchase and in our trade-in vehicle. We felt we got the information needed and are happy first-time Subaru owners. All in all, this dealership and all the people we encountered, dealt with and were just introduced to made the entire new car buying experience informative, fun, and enjoyable instead of like having a root canal performed, or your bones picked over by vultures. We will be return customers, and recommending this dealership to others. This dealership provided us with so much hands-on explaining of the entire operation of our new purchase, that we felt very comfortable and grateful for all the time that was taken to provide us instructions on use...we had a ball on our drive home! Nightmare continues ON 03/14/2014, my wife and I bought used pickup from Grand Junction Subaru. While waiting to do the paperwork, we walked around it again and noti ON 03/14/2014, my wife and I bought used pickup from Grand Junction Subaru. While waiting to do the paperwork, we walked around it again and noticed a nail in a tire. When we told the salesperson, Rosanna, she contacted a manager who did nothing about it. Next, while doing the paperwork, we wanted the service contract, so paid separately for that. We left to find out later our nightmare was about to begin. A couple of days later, we noticed an oil puddle under it. I got under it and found that the oil filter had been put to tight and smashed the seal so oil was leaking. Called the dealership and told them and after some he-hawing around, they agreed to fix it. Well, they put a new filter on, but didn't replace the oil. Next came the struts. I found they where leaking when I took the truck to get the nail out of the tire. I called Subaru and asked to speak to Shawn, the gm. Was told to bring it down and have a mechanic check it out. Well, they where leaking but I had to pay for it. I asked about my service contract and found out the paperwork had never been sent in. They finally sent it in but was told it wasn't covered. So, I contacted Autozone and found reasonably priced struts by Monroe. Took it down after Subaru said they would cover the labor, but couldn't use the struts I had bought. Had to use ones from Dodge, which cost almost 3 X what I had paid. Next, had a clunking noise from front end, but was so tired of the dealer, I went to a repair shop that I use for oil changes. Found out the bolts where loose on the struts. Now, go forward to 02/18/2016. I trade off the pickup and go to Subaru to get a refund on the service contract. The same loan officer we had had, Andrew, in the beginning, filled out the refund form and said I would have to wait 2-3 weeks for the refund. I did, nothing. I called Zurich, the service contract company and found out the paperwork had not been sent in and also how much I would get back. Called Andrew but got another loan officer Erin. She looked it up and found that paper work and sent it in. Now it is 04/13/2016 and I am still waiting for my refund. I contacted Zurich, the service contact company and they said they had sent the refund info back in March. So, here I wait. I am getting tired of their games. This 2-3 weeks is sure taking a long time. Would I recommend this dealership? Are you kidding and I tell other people about them. More

When our vehicle was totaled in an accident we began the dreaded and arduous process of finding a replacement. We had a long list of criteria that we were hoping to find a car to match and were weary from visits to several dealerships that day... We arrived at GJ Subaru determined to see if they had anything that would live up to our expectations but not anxious to face pressure to make a decision on the spot. Salesman Jason Nisley approached us in the lot with a friendly smile and a handshake, asked a few questions and then pointed out some of the key features in the Subaru models available. He encouraged us to test drive one to get a feel for the comfort and asked if he could drive first to demonstrate some features we probably would not otherwise make note of. His in-depth knowledge of the vehicle answered questions that we didn't even know to ask. As we discussed criteria one by one we realized that this vehicle might be the best match we had seen yet but we were leery of getting into high pressure negotiations where we would be expected to make a decision on the spot When we explained that we would prefer to do our own research and sleep on it, there was NO pressure... Jason found the color we wanted on their other lot and drew up figures to show us exactly what the best price would be "out the door", he gave us his phone number in case we came up with other questions and promised to check back with us the next day. Every claim made and number provided checked out and when we arrived the next day to pick up the car everything was ready to go.... While we took one final test drive, Jason worked on getting us an even better rate on a loan than I had been able to find... without any additional hassle. We asked point blank questions and addressed concerns we had seen mentioned online and were given straight-forward responses. I appreciate being able to present whatever issues I need addressed without worry that I will be brushed off or treated like I am ignorant. Every request was met with a promise to make it happen and every promise was backed by Jason's dependable follow through. Jason is armed with an incredible, in-depth knowledge of vehicles he sells and exhibits a personal honesty and integrity beyond what I would even dare to expect. It has been two weeks since we drove home in our new car and he has been back in touch several times to check in and make sure everything is going well. Don't hesitate to walk into GJ Subaru and ask for Jason Nisley if you want a clear picture of what Subaru has to offer you in your quest for the best vehicle to match your needs. More
