Danny, I spoke to Mike our Service Manager about your situation. Mike did have to open a Tech Case to get your engine, which surprisingly came in much faster than the norm has been in the past (which explains why you were told that it could take longer than you or we could anticipate) While it was diligent of you to call Kia about your engine, the request was already in their system. Our paperwork shows you were written up for service on Jan 26th, engine was approved to be ordered on February 9th and was delivered to our dealership on February 13th. While it can be difficult to reach our team at times, due to the capacity of vehicles that we have in for service, we apologize for any inconvenience that may have caused you. Although Mike did convey and confirm via our phone system, that you and he spoke on the telephone on more than one occasion about your service. I also understand that additional parts that were provided by you were installed with no labor cost since the engine was already removed from your vehicle and gave easy access for the technician. We appreciate your business, but if you feel more comfortable having your service or warranty work at a different location, we completely understand but will be more than happy to assist you in the future if needed.

-While we understand your frustration with your engine issue, please know that Gossett Kia does not have the power to approve or deny an engine replacement. This decision will come from Kia Corporate. They require us to follow certain steps to provide pictures (which we have) and documents of Oil Change receipts to Corporate. -One being documentation of Kia recommended Oil Changes on the vehicle in question. Our understanding is that you were able to provide them with a document showing One Oil Change done in Millington during the 40,000 miles on your vehicle. Kia Maintenance schedule recommends oil changes every 5,000 or 7,500 miles, depending on your vehicle – by not being able to supply Kia that information, would affect Kia Corporate’s decision. If you can supply them with any further documents, we recommend that you do.. -Our advice is to contact Kia Corporate again on their decision. We will be happy to replace your motor with direction of approval from Kia. Please give Mike, our Service Manager a call at your convenience if you would like to discuss further.

You see? Thats the problem. Your corporate office says I have to deal with the dealership and they dont have anything to do with the decision. That's coming from Debbie who I spoke with. Oh, and I spoke with Lisa, Keith, and Amanda...all of which could not get ahold of anyone in the service department. So why would I try and reach Mike? It should be HIM reaching out to me to let me know whats going on. NOT me chasing around your people! No one has called me for an update except Trent 2 weeks ago. So you and your corporate office needs to maybe talk to each other rather than gaft off this problem on each other. It's the blind leading the blind. AND the oil change receipt I gave was my latest showing that it WAS changed recently. So what's next? Gonna make another excuse to not fix it? I guess we get to see who's blaming who this time on the lack of communication and dropping the ball on a customer.

I do understand your frustration with your engine issue, but again please know that Gossett Kia does not have the power to approve or deny an engine replacement. This decision will come from Kia Corporate. Not Gossett Kia. Kia Corporate contacts the dealerships to say whether an approval has been granted on not on an engine replacement. Send them every receipt you have and they will process accordingly.
