DO NOT ORDER PARTS FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! They do not care if you receive it or not. The first time they sent the part to the wrong place, the 2nd time I have not received it all Mike keeps saying is tha care if you receive it or not. The first time they sent the part to the wrong place, the 2nd time I have not received it all Mike keeps saying is that the delivery service has not called him back. He did not care that my vehicle has been in the repair shop for two weeks waiting on this part. 10/23/2013 Thanks, Anna More
I have no idea what to say here other than do not go to Gossett Motors in Memphis, TN. Their sales persons do not listen to customers wants or needs at all. They show you vehicles they want you to see and Gossett Motors in Memphis, TN. Their sales persons do not listen to customers wants or needs at all. They show you vehicles they want you to see and not what you want to see. They have a bad way of not holding onto customers personal information. In a 1 month time span I had to give them all of my personal information no less than 4 times. This was everything from my pay stubs to my social security number. More
Given a quote over email for 2012 Mazda3 Hatchback. Within an hour of receiving the email I went to the dealership. We seemed to be working towards a deal when they came back with an offer 3K more than Within an hour of receiving the email I went to the dealership. We seemed to be working towards a deal when they came back with an offer 3K more than what was emailed. "A mistake" Just brutal. Wasted 2 and half hours with them. Not really sure why they even wasted their own time. Sales guy was nice at outset and then just turned a switch and became a xxxxx. He knew I wasn't going to play the game of going back and forth so I just left. Like the other reviewers say- in Memphis and looking for a Mazda go to Gwatney. They treated me first class and are an example of how to run a dealership. I didn't even buy a car from them (different make), but I just want people to know to stay away from Gossett Mazda. More
My husband and I recently went to Gossett to look at a Mazda5 we saw online for $15,976. We went, test drove the van and fell in love with it.. it was exactly what I was wanting. When we went in to do p Mazda5 we saw online for $15,976. We went, test drove the van and fell in love with it.. it was exactly what I was wanting. When we went in to do paperwork, they brought us a sheet to sign that said we agreed on the price of $19,988. Confused, I asked why it was different, the salesman went to "find out". They changed it and we proceeded with paperwork. We were told that we needed at the very least $1000 down and possibly a co-signer because neither of us has any credit... then that story changed and it was that if we put money down, we could get it without a co-signer. We left that night worried and troubled with the task ahead of us but were at least happy that we had found a vehicle that fit our budget... that lasted just a little while... the next afternoon a gentleman by the name of Kenny called us and in a very quick tongued salesman slur went through TONS of information about the details of the sale and how he would put $40 bucks down of his own money to hold the car because he didnt want us to "lose the sale".. classic sales line thats so lame and such a cliche. He proceeded to tell us that they were "gifting" us an APR of 24.39% which I knew instantly was CRAP. We had been told already that our payments would be between $222 and $260 a month... so when fast talking Kenny said "$460 something a month" we naturally were completely shocked and confused... he told us the intrest and the price of the car and that there would be "$2000 of taxes, fees, title, tags and stuff" added to it... Im no mathmetician but Im good enough in math to know that doesnt end up being the $32,000 he was coming up with... I immediately called Jenifer back and told her my issues with this obvious "scam" seeming situation and was assured someone would call me back shortly.. 2 hours later I called her back and with a very rude tone she brushed me off and said she would talk to him.. I said "no, I want him to call me and I want to speak to him myself".. she agreed but never returned my call. So the next day at lunch my husband and I went to speak with him ourselves. We were told to talk to a Jim Coffer because Kenny was not in the office. I sat down with Jim and showed him the math that I had done and was told that he "admired the way my mind thought and worked but that he didnt understand how they got their numbers because their million dollar computer system came up with it all" ... that was a complete crock of you know what.. this outdated 1980 looking system was a simple system that they punch numbers into... I asked where the mysterious $10,000 add on came from and was quickly told it was part of the APR or the warranty... I quickly explained to him that A) the APR wouldnt add $10,000 on top of what was already added for it and previously shown to us and B) that the sticker on the car said "as is no warranty".. he then tried to tell me that we were being charged for the factory warranty that COMES WITH THE CAR... NO WARRANTY IS TEN GRAND!.. I asked for him to give it to me in writing and he quickly fumbled and mumbled his way through some excuse of why they couldnt give me it in writing... so I then knew it was a lie... I asked for a print out of the estimated prices of each charge on the deal. He then turned his screen to me and said that I could write it myself but he couldnt print it out... I asked him if he couldnt push "print screen" and give me that instead.. I was then given another stutter filled excuse and then he quickly moved on to the next topic... he told me that the computer comes up with the percentage of APR and that I wouldnt get a different one anywhere nor a better price... especially with us trying to establish credit... during all this, our sales woman Jenifer came in and asked what was wrong, My husband looked up at her (obviously upset) and instead of good customer service and trying to fix a problem, she said "whats the problem? why you lookin at me like that?"... unacceptable! Every single item that we inquired about, we got some beat around the bush excuse and we constantly felt as though we were being ripped off and scammed... Luckily my boss told us who to go to... we went to Gwatney Mazda on Winchester road in Memphis... and let me just say, THAT is where you should go to get a car.. they are professional, nice, polite and HONEST. No scams, no BS, no crap... they were polite and upfront with everything and provided documentation of everything BEFORE we even asked... I really hope people read this and change where they go for a car/truck/van... Gossett will rip you off and they are the stereotype "car salesmen" we all fear as hard working individuals on a budget.. its a bunch of vultures out for a buck.. Gwatney was amazing and was just genuinely there to help us get the best deal for our family. Oh and if anyone at Gossett reads this... not only did I get a better APR rate.. it was 10.29% LESS at Gwatney... oh and I got a BRAND SPANKIN NEW/NEVER BEEN DRIVEN MAZDA5 WITH 2 MILES ON IT for $14,000 LESS .. verses your used 30,000 mile mazda5 for $32,000... I will NEVER shop at Gossett again... I will tell every single soul I meet thats looking for a car to steer clear of this scam running operation... if you need a new car/truck/van and want a good deal with great customer service, unlimited car washes, road side assistance for free and a great experience, go to GWATNEY Mazda on Winchester. If you want to be ripped off and drained of your hard earned money... go to Gossett... The ONLY good thing about our visit to Gossett was Michael Blackmon... he was nice... but thats the ONLY good thing. More
we came in to look at a new Audi. he was helpful and answered all of our questions. he let us leave without any pressure. we returned a week or so later after deciding on the Audi, and after a few mintu answered all of our questions. he let us leave without any pressure. we returned a week or so later after deciding on the Audi, and after a few mintutes discussing the price and our trade, purchased an Audi A6 from them. it was late so we returned that weekend and were given a thorough walk thru of the features and they detailed the car as well. overall we were quite satisfied with the experience and would recommend them to any who asked. they were quite professional and very straightforward on the price, we actually paid a little less than we though we would for the car. My wife and I thought iot would be helpful for those looking to to see more than one review,as we ran across this site while doing research, and after our experience, thought it was not indicative of what one would expect in dealing with this dealer. Spent over 50K on a new Porsche. Delivered car and our sales person couldnt even explain any parts of the car. What we know we have learned by trail and error. Cheap operation, go to Nashville or Jackson sales person couldnt even explain any parts of the car. What we know we have learned by trail and error. Cheap operation, go to Nashville or Jackson to buy. They have actual sales people who know what they are selling. Having to get Porsche North America involved over a simple warranty issue. More
