My husband and I were (unexpectedly) traveling with our Volvo XC60 from New Jersey to western Colorado after we found out our flight from Newark NJ to Eagle CO was canceled on (Saturday) Christmas Day. Volvo XC60 from New Jersey to western Colorado after we found out our flight from Newark NJ to Eagle CO was canceled on (Saturday) Christmas Day. On Sunday - the day after Xmas - we arrived in Lincoln Nebraska where we were planning to have lunch and discovered our front tires were in very bad shape and we could not continue our journey. It turned out that our Volvo uses tires of an unusual size, tires that were not readily available anywhere in the west. Monday morning at 9 we called the nearest Volvo dealership in Omaha: Gorges Volvo. Josh Herman from the service desk advised us to come down to the shop. The tires we needed were not in stock but could possibly be ordered and might come in Wednesday evening. With some luck we could be on our way Thursday morning…🥴 Josh realized how desperate we were to get to our destination and found a terrific solution: He could get us 4 new tires of a different size that could be mounted within a few hours. The dealership’s friendly driver took us to a nearby mall while Gorges Volvo worked on our car (they even took care of the service that was due as well). Later that afternoon we were on our way again, feeling safe to drive over two snowy Rocky Mountain passes later that night. We could not have hoped for a more professional, friendlier and more accommodating service from Josh and the team then what we experienced at Gorges Volvo in Omaha Nebraska. Thank you!! I needed the back of my car meticulously cleaned because I spilled gas in it. They were honest but dedicated to getting it cleaned so the car was drivable. I would never recommend going to the service department ever…. Half a star rating only -if not less. They caused more work and damage and I do not have any trust in them to do things right. I would not mind the price if the work was impeccable but it was not. I would have never bought a Volvo esp having to deal with the service department. And having owned my Volvo for almost 6 years- it is very cheaply made and for the price I paid, I would of expected better and higher quality. I feel very cheated on this car and cannot wait to get rid of it. Should of stuck with my Audi. More
