Gorges Volvo Cars has been recognized as the preferred Volvo dealer serving our region since 1957. Back then our founder Fred Gorges and his 2 brothers first formed a relationship with Volvo in Wichita Kansas, where the Gorges brothers operated a successful import business. When they were approached by Volvo to start selling cars in the United States, Gorges Volvo Cars was born.
After some time in Kansas, Gorges Volvo Cars eventually relocated to Omaha where we've continued our successful business for 30 years. We attribute the success of our new and used Volvo dealership over the last three decades of serving Omaha, Lincoln NE, Fremont NE, Sioux City and Council Bluffs IA, to the fact that we are 100% dedicated to maintaining our strong family values and extending those values to our customers. Experienced courteous people at the dealership when I came for my appointment. They checked the vehicle for any additional needs not scheduled and gave me a quotation. The service agent coached me on a f came for my appointment. They checked the vehicle for any additional needs not scheduled and gave me a quotation. The service agent coached me on a feature of my auto I was not aware of, which was great. Service was for a recall. I had to contact the dealer more than once after receiving the recall notice before they responded. I wasn’t pleased with the failure to respond. When they did respond on my subsequent contact they informed me that the service would be scheduled later because they didn’t have the parts yet. They promised to call me when parts came in, and that is what they did. From the time I was notified by Volvo by mail of the recall until service was completed was around four months. That’s quite awhile to wait. But overall, the experience was good. More
