I returned the following morning for the repair (part required was in Portland which would have added another hour of time missed from work) and I was able to get in the service garage at 7:30 and I was out by 8:15 am. The service cost was not outrageous - I'll take it. More

The repair ended up costing $125 and somehow we ended up leaving with a new car. Everything was fine until the next day when I was contacted by the sales manager saying we owe them more money. During the sales process, I should have known that a deal offer written on computer paper with a sharpie wasn’t exactly legitamit. The price for the trade on the paper vs the actual paperwork was $1,000 less and we didn’t notice until the next day examining the paperwork closer to try and solve the down payment amount discrepancy. Apparently Goodwin’s hires an outside sales team to do this “event” and it’s almost as if they were just a bunch of cowboys that did anything to make a sale and let the pieces fall where they may after. We are very happy with our car so far but this part of the LEGAL transaction will keep us from EVER buying at Goodwin’s again! More

One, after having the steering item replaced my mechanic found an issue with my steering. I paid to have corrected. 2nd a recall on the transmission shift. I drove in with no issues and came back with a VERY loose shift stick and no low gear 1, 2, 3. I went back and they tighten the shift stick. But I was TOLD my low gears were already broken when I took the car in. I HATE being lied to. I, in fact, use my low gears nearly every day. I will never go to you again. Any recalls going forward I will have my mechanic do the service. These are not the only issues with your service dept. Also, my husband both a new car 2017 Chevy Spark. He tested out and both the car. The car he received was another car. He questioned them and was told they had one for testing another for purchase. The car we had does not have the same dashboard and design as the other car. It looked like a down grade. More
No pressure, just helpful and knowledgeable salespeople I visited once this spring, 'just looking', and was treated with respect, and provided with answers to all of my questions at the time. Last week, my I visited once this spring, 'just looking', and was treated with respect, and provided with answers to all of my questions at the time. Last week, my husband and I returned to really look at a Volt. We got a nice test drive, a very prompt offer on the car we were interested in, NO pressure when we said we'd think about it and let them know. 45 minutes later we'd made up our mind, accepted the offer, and arranged to pick up the car. What we loved is that no one was pushy, and everyone was helpful. This is a completely different atmosphere than we've experienced in other places, and we really appreciated it. We got the car we wanted at a fair price, and the entire experience was comfortable and pleasant, and efficient. More

However it had recently been making a strange notice and I knew it was due for inspection. I brought it in and let them know is the noise and they said they would take a look. An hour later my car was done and they said they found no issues. I assumed the sound may be just unbalanced tires with uneven air pressure and decided to ride it out. However the sound got worse. I took the car to pep boys locally and they stated the strut bones were missing and the left strut was leaking bad. An issue like this shouldn't have passed inspection... Never going back to them again safe to say. When I called back to ask for the issue to be fixed at a discounted rate. I was told that wasn't possible even though they were the ones that messed up. I found a used car that I liked at Goodwins online. And when they called and said that we could work something out, I was pretty sure that we could. The car I traded was a 2013 Impala in Excellent shape with low mi. So I purchased a 2015 Impala and am satisfied with the price and I love the car. But! When the deal was done we hopped in and drove off pretty pleased with things. On the 30 mi. drive home though my wife noticed a small but significant hole or crack in the windshield. She immediately called Goodwins and got someones voicemail.. They didn't call back. Also during the drive home I noticed that the car hadn't been detailed. It wasn't terribly bad but I''m 68 and disabled to an extent and will have to have it cleaned by a guy here near my home, he charges $160.00 plus tip. We almost had to beg them to get the windshield fixed and then it was poorly done. I asked several times about cleaning the car but got no response. My wife tried to call Mr. Goodwin himself when we knew he was there because we were in the waiting room. She was put on hold then after a wait told that he had stepped out and to leave a voice mail, which she did. That was three weeks ago and we're still waiting to hear from him or from anyone down there, You'd think at least they would offer to detail it and to make the windshield whole..... One last thing, everyone was really nice while we were buying, but when we expressed a complaint, I don't know how word gets around so fast but everyone there turned rude. The girls at the front turned their backs on me after a dirty look for instance and the other sales staff except for Tucker our Sales Guy, were rude without saying anything if you know what I'm trying to say. We are just a nice couple we have no enemies that I know of and we have many friends. Why we got this kind of treatment is so crazy to both of us that it's very, very upsetting. I would not recommend shopping there. More

I stated I didn't think the sale could happen after a little research I did the day before. Derek advised Mazda has some promotions going on for the vehicle I was looking at and they could work something out. As this is an hour drive for me I expressed the importance of being fairly close on numbers as I didn't want to waste anyone's time. I let them know what I have for a trade in and my price range I was looking for again. He expressed confidence in a possible deal. So the next morning I packed up the family and made the drive. We take a couple of cars out for a test drive and decide we want the car originally interested in. Mind you, we are current Mazda drivers and a fan of the brand. They come back with a number so far off my original price range I knew nothing can be worked out. I stated this to the sales rep who also confirmed my thoughts. I advised the individual of the call I had with Derek. He said "Its Derek's teams job to get people in the door." Needless to say I wasn't happy with that response. Time was wasted and trust was lost. I will not return to this dealership as long as it is their practice to do whatever it takes to get people in the door. More
