I went to the dealer looking to test drive a Focus. I told the salesman that I wanted to test drive the SE, not a higher end style. So he asks what color, and I really didn't care, but said blue. Well, apparently the blue Focus on the lot had a dead battery, so he brought a white one. We go for a test drive, then afterwards he pushes hard to make the sale. He scribbled numbers all over a piece of paper without any logic behind it, and then of course the manager comes in to make the sale. So we bring the price down, and I'm still not that interested, but said if I wanted to make a purchase right then, I wanted to see the car I was going to buy. Of course the manager didn't have any problem with that, so both he, and the salesman walk away, leaving me alone, to get the car. 15 minutes later, still no car. The manager claimed the car was across the street and the salesman took the wrong key. So finally, after waiting about 20 minutes, I got up and told one of the salesman at the front desk I was leaving. But low and behold, both the manager and salesman I was talking to were standing right there behind the desk talking! Crappy sales tactics and customer service. Avoid this dealer. More

I had called Golf Mill Ford looking for a specific trim on the 2010 Ford Escape. I discussed the car and my desired options with a salesperson named Eve. I had called every dealer in the Chicago area looking for one and she was the only one that said she had it in stock. She even emailed the two car's stickers to me and assured me that they would be available to look at when I came in later that evening. Needless to say, the cars weren't there. Eve was out and some other salesman tried to show me another 'similar' car in order to get me to sit down and talk price. When I asked him directly if he had the specific cars in stock, he claimed he did but he had loaned them out to a Polish festival. Really? What he was doing was the typical bait and switch method that dealers use to get you to agree on a price of a car that they don't have then make you wait while they try to track one down or order it for you from the factory. That can take weeks or months and I didn't want to wait since I was renting a car at $30/day. I feel like Golf Mill Ford were shady throughout my entire experience and I would not recommend anyone choose to do business with them. They wasted my time and I am definitely not happy about it. Authorized 1 hour of diagnostic service, charged for 4! Was told a manager was not available. They would not budge on it. They tried to say that we had authorized additional time, when we had not. I had been working with the internet department at Golf Mill Ford and after a few contacts they were able to get me the SUV I wanted at a GREAT Price. When I arrived, everything was ready for me, My husban Mill Ford and after a few contacts they were able to get me the SUV I wanted at a GREAT Price. I am Very Happy with Art Therios our salesman and Golf Mill Ford. This has been the most pleasant car purchase yet. More

I called this dealership's service department prior to driving there, explained that my car's engine light on the dashboard was lite up, and I needed service today. I was told that they were open until 10p, I could come at anytime, because they have shifts, and I didn't need an appointment. I drove all the way there after work, entered the service department after waiting in line, and I was told there were no technicians on duty so I had to come back tomorrow. How could I even be sure I would be able to drive my car the next day with the engine light on. It was too late in the evening for me to go to another dealership for service. They should not have told me to come if there would be no technicians on duty when they knew what my car problem was! More

This dealer took advantage of my fiance and I when we went there to purchase our first car. We thought we were paying the sticker price but later found out they charged me DOUBLE the price of the car and went there to purchase our first car. This dealership is very scandalous. They lied and sneaked around the truth. unfortunately there is no help for the consumer who gets ripped off I just hope a lot of people will read this and choose not to go to golf mill ford because they are scam artists.
