Sir, We apologize for any misundersatndings and confusion with your correspondence from our BDC. I reviewed the email chain and was perplexed as well. I also discussed and coached about what transpired. I do see some confusion with the zip listed and the fact that you said you were in Florida. However, I do feel my staff droped the ball and the information should have been seamless. Additonally, to blatantly claim a store is bait an switching is excessive, untrue and slanderous. Regardless of what autotrader erroneously told your rep what my zip code was, as opposed to where I actually live is irrelevant. She didn't even mention that until a few emails after I told her where I lived, and that I wanted the total cost with taxes and fees in Palm Beach county FL, so that I could arrange to buy the car. No matter what I asked or how I phrased my intentions, she would not give me clear answers or the requested info but would instead continue to present obstacles as to why she couldn't answer me. I am glad that you were perplexed as well by the bizarre exchange. Thanks for the apology, but apologies without behavioral modifications are just manipulations. So it would behoove you to make sure that your reps, who answer INTERNET leads, know how to sell cars ON THE INTERNET without frustrating a non price negotiating customer to the point that it makes then throw their hands up in frustration and drives them to buy from your competitor.
