Bought a 2007 Volvo back on Jan 9, 2012. They are great salesman and treat you very good when it comes to selling you a car, but when it comes to getting things done afterward...it's a HASSLE. 1st- they on salesman and treat you very good when it comes to selling you a car, but when it comes to getting things done afterward...it's a HASSLE. 1st- they only had one key for the $27K 2007 61k mile Volvo SUV we bought and would not offer another, not even a valet, instead they sold me on their Passkey Coverage (key insurance @ $299 for 5yrs) which is what they said would be the cost of a new key anyway. They then suggested I give Passkey a call once the coverage was in effect and tell them I lost it to get another at no charge to me (or them)and the benefit was I'd have coverage for lost/stolen/damaged keys for 5yrs. Needless to say I wasn't as good at lying as they were and so their idea didn't work and I still only have one key. 2nd - There was damage to the SUV when purchased and it was written on their "We Owe" to the customer receipt for repair. Well I scheduled the date and time to bring it in as well as a loaner SUV. They told me they would have an SUV loaner for me when I got there because I schedule enough in advance. Drove 2.5 hrs from NJ for a 10:45am appointment through rush hour traffic and when I got there, of course, NO SUV! I was offered a small coupe and get this - a convertible - for me and my 3 young children...lol. What wasn't so funny was the 3 hours I had to wait until they could get another customer to bring in their loaner SUV, on the customer's lunch break and then drive 2.5 hours home, and what did I get for this HASSLE, nothing of course, except directions to where I could get lunch while I waited. Well of course I wasn't surprised, I already bought the car. Side note--So much for the salesman and manager's speeches about how much they pride themselves on customers being part of their "dealership family", after speaking with them for 4 hours straight until approx. 11pm the night I bought the car, they didn't even have a clue who I was walking into the dealership only 2.5 weeks later.3rd - When we picked up the car from being serviced, they hadn't completed all of the repair work, but handed us the car back anyway. After pulling off and stopping at a nearby bank my husband noticed the repair wasn't complete so we had to turn around and go back to the dealership and wait for them to fix it (thanks for the bottled water while we waited!)...what a HASSLE! 4th - Again on our "We Owe" to the customer receipt, they were suppose to give us a replacement DVD remote, but wouldn't you know it, they didn't have any in stock and guess what - almost FIVE months later - I'm still calling them trying to get the remote, no call back from Steve lately and I'm just about tired of calling them. Lesson learned....HASSEL Volvo, now I see where they get their name! More

As you know the previous weeks experience didn't go so well. Second the driving instructions were perfect, no problems what so ever and I was home by 1:30pm. We recently leased our first Volvo on a whim less than a year ago (xc60). Two days ago I heard a loud popping noise which only disappeared when turning off the air in the car. Previous to this - about 1-2 months prior, there was always a sour smell that came out of the air when it was turned on. My husband called - and they told him that there was no way that we could have a loaner car. So - I drove my car around for 2 days, not knowing if it would further break down - and sweltered in over 90 degree weather. When we brought in the car today - the woman told me to wait inside while she "tried" the car. She promptly came back in and said, "Are you sure it's still broken? I turned it off, then on again and the sound went away. I think it was a twig." My husband arrived and said, let me check again - lo and behold, the large bumping sounds returned when he turned on the air. I have to say - we were considering getting a second Volvo when his Mercedes lease comes up, but after this episode - we will never get another Volvo from this dealer. We don't expect to be lied to and told there are no loaner cars - when clearly there is something faulty with the car which is less than one year old. So much for the "white glove service" they tout when they lease/sell your car (and on their phone line)! More
The Hassel dealership and Ken (the sales consultant who assisted us) exceeded our expectations. We had to negotiate a bit to get the price we were willing to pay, but it was painless. Ken was very patient as we wavered back and forth on decisions like lease vs finance, new vs certified pre owned, and where to get insurance. Ken is very approachable and quickly answered the questions we needed to ask to make the decisions. Ken deserves an award for suffering through our indecisiveness. By the time we drove off with our financed CPO car, we were kidding around with Ken like we were old friends. I would definitely buy another car from Ken. Frank Mastrovito (the general manager) made sure we were well taken care of...his integrity and "make the customer satisfied" attitude permeates through the entire dealership. More
I was in the market to replaced my Lexus SUV and I had shopped for an XC60 by Volvo at Hassel. The experience was very good. I had test drove the vehicle and price it out with him. Jean-Luc was very shopped for an XC60 by Volvo at Hassel. The experience was very good. I had test drove the vehicle and price it out with him. Jean-Luc was very friendly and knowledgable. He did not hassle me into a deal. The test driving experience was very helpful. Even after I had asked about a different trim, I was able to test drive an XC60 with performance package upon request. The inventory was very good. And the negotiated price of the car was fair. I end up not getting this vehicle because of my brand loyalty to another company. But if my friends ever asked for a referral to Volvo, I would send them to J-L. More

Except for a FedEx glitch, I had a wonderful experience at Hassel Volvo. Everyone made me feel like they were going out of their way for me. Even though this was an older used volvo for my daughter, they m at Hassel Volvo. Everyone made me feel like they were going out of their way for me. Even though this was an older used volvo for my daughter, they made me feel like I was purchasing the most expensive new car on the lot and I was their most important customer. It is my third Volvo and all were purchased at different dealers. This was the best car purchasing experience I have had. I am going to pick my daughter up today in this car that I have purchased for her, I know she will be ecstatic. It was an OUTSTANDING experience and I would like to thank everyone there. I have already recommended them and will continue to do so. More

The reasons we decided to buy from Hassel Volvo and provide a high rating is because of our dealer Alexandra Levinas who was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, thorough, determined to work hard to satisfy our requirements and to get us the best price possible. She is a hard worker and does what she has to do to get the job done to the satifaction of her customer. There was some difficulty finding the exact car we wanted and some back and forth but in the end, with a little compromise on both sides, thanks to the efforts of Alex, we left as very satisfied customers and would recommend Hassle Volvo to our family and friends. Our overall experience at Hassel Volvo was like being in a stress free zone. One felt taken care of and the quality of work provided was tops. More
