The owner is correct that it took a long time to repair the vehicle. The major reason for the delay was the power sunroof assembly had to be replaced. Two fo the three assemblies ordered were damaged in shipping which caused an unusal delay in the repair time. We are very sorry for this but ultimately it was beyond our control. We apologize for this problem. We made several mistakes and have attempted to resolve everyone.

Gladstone Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram responded

The owner purchased his truck from our used car department in September. In late October he struck a deer with the truck causing an estimated $7,000 damage to the truck. Both front air bags deployed in the accident causing a section of the wiring to be damaged. We ordered a new wiring harness from Chrysler to make a proper repair due to the safety issue. The harness was not available and was on a back order. We provided the customer a replacement vehicle at no charge while it was repaired. The owner did inquire about trading the vehicle. In part due to the timing of his purchase the truck went from 2 years old to 3 years old with the release of the all new 2013 Ram truck about 60 days after his purchase. At the same time his truck aquired $7,000 in damage and he felt he should be given his purchase price on trade in. The damage disclosure and the amount of the damage would require his truck to be worth less on trade. We ultimately offered about $5,000 less due to the damage.
