We at Gladstone Dodge are very sorry for this turn of events with the purchase of this truck. It all happened due to a member of our military forces in the USA being transferred several times over the last few years. As a result the title from two other states has yet to catch up to the truck. We have it all under control and expect the title within the week to ten days. We understand completely the customers concerns and issues with this experience. We made three offers to the customer to satisfy this situation. 1) We offered to buy the truck back for the full purchase price no questions ask. 2) We offered to trade it for anything else on the lot they liked for the full purchase price as well. 3) We have offered to make restitution for any violations they may incur while waiting for the title. We have also agreed to their demand for financial restitution once this all cleared up but not until they have the title and present us with the amount of penalty for late registration. At that time we will definitely make a financial payment to cover the incurred cost they have absorbed. Gladstone has always agreed to make this right for the customer. It has unfortunately taken longer than expected due to two states Motor Vehicle Dept. being involved. We have never attempted to hide anything and made everything clear upon our receipt of any information. All of the offers above still stand and we will honor which ever the customer would choose.

Gladstone would like to respond with the final results from this title problem. On Tuesday June 10th we provided the customer with the title, a new vehicle inspection and a check for $1,250 for the problems they experienced. We felt that 3 truck payments, our document fee and a little over $300 for the trip they had to cancel as result of this problem. Several of the people involved in correcting this problem from our dealership have never seen a problem this time consuming in thirty years. We are sorry for this occurring and hope it is completely resolved.

UPDATE: Today June 14, 2014 our title came from the MO Dept of Revenue, we are so elated!! Yes Gladstone Dodge in the end was more than amicable about the situation. My husband was the one who took the truck to get the inspection and pick up the title and paperwork, he told me that they apologized profusely, and were very polite and gracious. That in my opinion goes a long way, and had they been that gracious from the beginning it would have went a long way. We are happy to have this behind us.
