2nd call back from July service I had the oil changed & a/c checked in July. A defective part was found & repaired. The service tech also found a nail in 1 tire which then was plugge I had the oil changed & a/c checked in July. A defective part was found & repaired. The service tech also found a nail in 1 tire which then was plugged. I was told my tires were in good condition (65,000 miles). I was satisfied with the work performed. However 2 days later I was putting something in the back of my Enclave and saw some exposed wires. I did not touch - not knowing if they were live. I took it back to dealership - they discovered the wires were the ones used for towing and should have been put back under the mat. Then a few days later, the low tire warning came on the dashboard. I took the car to the closest tire dealer and they put the correct amount of air in the tire. Last week, it happened again - checking my paperwork from the July service showed that was the plugged tire. I made another appointment at the dealer so the tire could be checked. I was told the tire had dry rot and the plug didn’t hold. The service Mgr said if the tech had told us up front they wouldn’t have plugged the tire to begin with. Then he offered to take the $32.50 (from the original plug work) off a new set of tires. I hardly think that covered my time and gas making 2 extra trips due to their negligence. I’m getting new tires (100,000 mile) from my local tire shop - $300 cheaper than the dealership - with the $32.50 discount! More
