Should be no stars. Just plain bad practices and they're arrogant about it to boot. I saw a used 2020 Buick Encore that looked attractive. Price on the windshield was $18,900 and change. I talked to the sales guy (Les or Wes, I think) and we agreed on price, tax, down payment, and amount to be financed. When the paperwork showed up there was a $3000 extended warranty and $2500 paint protection added to the price. This was a used car and 1.) It increased the price of the car by almost 33%, and 2.) I was only going to have the car for about 3 years. They took off the vehicle extended warranty but wouldn't budge a dime on the paint protection; sales guy said that came from the owner. They didn't even try to sell it. They were charging me $2500 and that was that. When I declined they let me walk. If they have last car on Earth I'm buying a horse. More

As a fellow business owner, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. However, Gilroy Buick GMC and Michael Winding lost any hope of future business from this truck buyer. I spoke with Michael Winding about a truck listed online. We talked pricing, financing, and he assured me he would hold the truck for me as I was traveling from two hours away. I mentioned I wanted to be sure it was not sold before I got there, and he agreed it would not be a problem. I offered to put money down to hold it which he said was not necessary. He said he was having some repairs done on truck and thought it would probably be back in two days. I emailed him to ensure it returned from the repairs and let him know I was making arrangements. I continued the buying process with another sales rep and completed a form as requested. I let them know I was caring for my mother needed to make special arrangements to have someone fill in for me. After all arrangements were made, financing discussed and applied for, and after I spent my valuable time and effort making arrangements to drive over to buy this truck they said they would have no problem holding for my arrival first thing the next morning, I received a text message saying the truck was sold. In my humble opinion, if you can't trust a business to keep their word at the simplest of agreements, all other agreements and discussions are also not trustworthy. When people show you who they are, believe them. If Gilroy Buick GMC does not have the human decency to maintain the most basic of agreements, they certainly aren't trustworthy on the big ones. No worthwhile business I know does business this way. Additionally, I noted numerous other similar complaints just like mine and worse on their Facebook page. I should have dug deeper. I bought a 2021 gmc denali 2500hd drove for 800 miles the truck lost the power almost couldn't get home. The next day took to dealership and they couldn't figure out what's wrong with it. Can’t trust them even if they give it to you in writing On 5/27/2020 I purchased a one year old SUV from this dealership. Before I purchased the car I asked the salesperson Mrs. Anabel Cervantes if the ca On 5/27/2020 I purchased a one year old SUV from this dealership. Before I purchased the car I asked the salesperson Mrs. Anabel Cervantes if the car had both electronic keys. She said yes! After the purchase she gave just one key to me and after I asked for the second key she told me that the second key is in the mail. I walked back inside the dealership and talked to the manager. A second key was ordered free of charge and I received a copy of the order. After I did not hear for about a month from the dealership I contacted the sales manager Mrs. Julia Jenkins and asked for the second key. She asked me to send her a copy of the sales order which I did on 6/23/2020. She texted me back on 6/27/2020 and aske me if I would like to pick up the key or If she should mail it to me. On 7/8/2020 I texted her again telling her that I had not received the key. She texted me back the same day that she ordered the key again. As of today I have not received the key which is not cheap. The last phone call she did not return. You can't trust these people even if they give it to you in writing! More
