I did buy Honda Accord, which has a warranty and certificate car. However, after 2 days, the car was broken. It has been in the service for 2 weeks. During this time, they never asked me if I need a certificate car. However, after 2 days, the car was broken. It has been in the service for 2 weeks. During this time, they never asked me if I need a car. And my sales rep was Sala, and never ever helped me. He just cared about the commission. DO NOT GO TO HOUSTON GILMAN HONDA. More

I have been a Honda person since having a Honda Accord over 27 years ago. I was referred to Sal Ghazi of Gilman Honda. I have NEVER had the level of courtesy, professionalism, and frankly service as I had over 27 years ago. I was referred to Sal Ghazi of Gilman Honda. I have NEVER had the level of courtesy, professionalism, and frankly service as I had with Sal. When I mean service, we were super-serviced by Sal. He guided me through the process and checked on me. He even showed me how to use the new features on a 2020 Honda Civic. (To the point of hooking my Bluetooth phone up to my new car.) Sal Ghazi sold me on Gillman Honda Houston, TX 77099 now and in the future. BTW, everyone was masked, and hand sanitizers were easily available. Gillman is taking C-19 seriously. More
I scheduled an online appointment Friday 11/27/2020 9:30 am. When I’d arrived, George looked up my online job request and handed me a work or job order request form to fill out. After completing and confirm am. When I’d arrived, George looked up my online job request and handed me a work or job order request form to fill out. After completing and confirming the work, George said Miguel would assist me. As I was explaining to Miguel about my online oil change coupon and alignment coupon, I’d found. George interrupted me and said I had an code 6 error on my differential. (by changing the subject which he startled me and made me wonder if this needed to be take care of) All of a sudden, I had another problem and extra service which I didn’t need. I mentioned “I didn’t list it on my online job request” and both press me to use their 10% that they have online that I rejected because I just purchased my Honda Pilot last year June 2019 as they can see this in my car history on the computer. As I explained to George, why is this needing to be done? Is this differential done yearly? After questioning George, an awkward silence began. (Thinking to myself, this was a sales tactic? Yes, A hard sell “con artist” push my bill up to $200 from $30. Unless, there was some reason, like a recall or my vehicle was older. Yes, They planted this seed in my head to “worry” and “to purchase” while I wait. Thinking to myself, Why would I want to pay for this? when I know, I had a oil change code and didn’t have any other error code. I thought to myself, maybe he didn’t know that I knew much about cars or even know what a car differential was which I did take an auto shop course for 2 semester. George being a trickster will he add another sale on my bill, Is this a game? In believing a work coordinator, “Trust me”, this what you need “sale pitch” but I’m not a certified mechanic expert). As they both stated 10% will be applied if the bill was over $200, as they confirmed. I moved forward and agreed to have the vehicle checked out. I stated, “it will not be over $200”. Miguel offer for me to use the car shuttle within a 10 miles radius due to the 3 1/2 hour service and I said, “I will considering it but rather wait”. As George seem to be the lead interviewer, I told Miguel I will sit at the lobby as they seem to be at a stand still with no additional response. A quick 10 mins conversation, I guess they kept it short for a reason maybe hoping I will forget or consider what was said. Simply, I wanted to use my online coupon from Mike Smith Honda Beaumont (Synthetic oil change $29.95 & alignment $59, exp. Nov.30th). They should have honor and moved on but instead they press to use their Gilman Honda service special coupon. [On another previous occasion , Gilman Honda Fort Bend accepted my John Eagle Honda alignment service special coupon deal I’d found and used it around the end of Feb. or Mar. 2020]. Although Miguel persisted that I use their online oil with tire balance and rotation which I’d agreed to have the car checked out first since I needed a tire rotation & balance prior to doing my alignment (which I should have it done free at Discount Tire since I purchased an extended Rotation & Balance lifetime warranty for my tires replacement). They both knew I had to move forward in having the car checked out and to let me know what is needed since I was there. (Gilman Houston has oil & tire rotation and balance with inspection special service $59.95 & and the 10% off services over $200, I knew alignment would range approximately $100 if there wasn’t any service coupon) After an long 2:15 wait, the Cashier, Javier thinking I left the shop called my phone to prepay the oil, tire rotation and balance & alignment, a $210 total bill with an 10% discounted and recommend to change out the air filter and a/c filter too. After I complained about the work done that George or Miguel must of had added the alignment to my bill and continue the entire work order without my consent or confirmation. I questioned Javier, Is this how they do business? I told George and Javier to check out my vehicle and advise me prior, not during payment. Alignment job was immediately canceled & dropped and rotation & balance which I shouldn’t have paid. 3 hours later, I left with the disappointment about the alignment and tire rotation & balance, I still wonder, what was the code 6 differential about, an urgency George mentioned, I guess that it was a non emergency. In the end, I guess Miguel was out to lunch & no where in sight. George stepped in to handle my payment. I did say anything to him, Knowing they had messed up because he mentioned about the bad customer service and customer satisfaction email that I will receive in a few days. Because of the incorrect handling or “communication”, They brought this on to themselves scratching for every sales and dollars. They could of honor the other dealerships special service coupon but they wanted to use their own. As I drove away, a bit upset and I’d noticing there wasn’t any pull in my steering from the tires after they rotated & balance. I was glad, I wouldn’t need to pay for an alignment (I believe in safety first, ensuring myself the vehicle is working properly). Which tells me, Gilman Honda customer work service representative or the mechanic could of tested the tire or told me to decline the alignment if I would want to continue the tire rotation. Also the CSR, George or Miguel should have called me before the cashier to ok the work. I didn’t understand why the cashier call me since George handle the payment. I’d decided to look up Gilman Houston dealerships rating at dealerrater.com and understood why, Texas rated 62/70 with Houston 11/11 worst rated and Gilman Fort Bend with 59/70 rating. Also finding the best rating Honda Austin has the top #1 rating based on 5 years (except in 2017) customer satisfaction award in vehicles purchased. Since I bought 2 new “high end” vehicle from Gilman Honda Pilot Ex and Elite on separate occasions and my wife purchase hew new Honda Civic Ex. Prior getting the pilot I didn’t think much of which dealership should I give my business to until now seeing Gilman Honda rating. Sales and service warranty goes hand to hand so don’t buy additional service package when purchasing. With online media shopping and ratings or review, dealerships and any other business should know better not to mess with or how they treat any customers. They may loose a customer loyalty or repeat customers for purchase and ongoing service. Why screw with any customer since the power of online social media is here. I understand that everyone is financially hurting from the pandemic especially small business but is this time not to test customers loyalty. This is not a new low for dealerships, just business. So I say the same with my rating, it’s just good business. Dealing with auto service, my new vehicle warranty has expired. I now can look elsewhere for top vehicle service or a certified Honda shop. If this rating can be separate from the work scheduler and the mechanics rating. I would give the work order scheduler “zero stars” since it’s the people up front making this “bad business sense” which reflects onto the owner dealerships integrity and culture. More

Accepted a price emailed from sales manager and set an appointment to come in and purchase the vehicle. Met the sales manager and he appointed a sales person to go over the car with us. After getting home appointment to come in and purchase the vehicle. Met the sales manager and he appointed a sales person to go over the car with us. After getting home and going over the contract, realized the car was priced $650 more than agreed amount. I should have payed closer attention to the numbers and didn’t want to argue over it and was going to forget about it. Over the next couple of days and several reminders from the dealership to fill out survey and give them all 10’s I explained after overpaying I didn’t feel they earned it. The sales manager did not think I understood the figures on the contract and had the gentleman from finance call me to explain. After receiving a voice mail from him I called back and explained it to him on his voicemail. Never heard from anyone at the dealership again. On the two week anniversary on the purchase of the vehicle the screen on the dash indicated there was an updated for the system. It would not download and stated to see dealership. I called the service department at Gilman and was informed I would have to schedule and appointment and drop the car off. Went by the dealership talked to the salesman, he talked to the service department and confirmed even though I was right there with the vehicle I would have to make an appointment and drop the car off. This seemed inconvenient so I called Honda Car of Katy which is a few miles from my house. After explaining the issue with no questions the gentleman said to bring it by the next morning and they would look at it. This made me realize I may have chose the wrong dealership. Today received letter from Wells Fargo with details of purchase. After turning down wheel and tire protection at least three time to the gentleman in finance he stated he would throw it in for free. No where on the contract at the dealership did it list tire and wheel protection. The letter from Wells Fargo has it listed as an add on item for $1,049.00 charge to the loan. I have now started a claim with Wells Fargo and plan on contacting the Better Business Bureau. More
If I could give this dealership 100,000 reviews of 0 stars, I would, every single day, for the rest of my life. DO NOT COME HERE. FOR ANYTHING. I brought my 2002 Honda CRV in because it was havin stars, I would, every single day, for the rest of my life. DO NOT COME HERE. FOR ANYTHING. I brought my 2002 Honda CRV in because it was having issues starting. They charged me the diagnostic fee, I said ok, they said they'd figure out what was wrong with it. It took them four days to figure out what was wrong with it. Up to this point, I'm still fine. Maybe it was something really complicated, who knows. So the service rep calls me back and quotes me at 900$ to replace the starter, and then says oh, you also need all of this other extra stuff (as dealerships often do). I said oh, that's a whole lot, please let me call you back soon. I called my family mechanic, who quoted me for 250$ less, and decided I would take my car to him. I called the dealership back within 15 minutes, no answer. Called again, no answer, so I left a voicemail saying hey, please don't do anything to my car, I'll be by to pick it up tomorrow after I get off of work. The next day, I got a call from the service rep saying they went ahead and replaced the starter, and my total would be 980$. Of course, I was pissed, because I had never said yes, please fix my starter. When I came in to pick up my car, this customer rep tried to say TO MY FACE that I authorized the work. I demanded he bring up the audio recording of our phone convo (because you know they have to record everything) where I approved the work, and he shrank back and knocked 200$ off my price. I should have just refused to pay and taken my car back at this point, because THIS IS WHERE IT GETS WORSE. I got back in my car, turned it on, and my SRS light was on. It had never been on before, not until I took it to the dealership, so I immediately turned around, walked back in and said, "........Why is my SRS light on? If y'all messed up something else in my car, you need to fix it.", to which I was responded with "Well, we can run a diagnostic on it, but it will cost" at which point I just walked out. Fast forward to today, when I took my CRV to the Clear Lake dealership to have the SRS light looked at. They quoted me TWO THOUSAND AND FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS to fix the damage this dealership did to my car. I can't even begin to explain in English words how upset I am right now at this dealership. Probably the worst experience I've ever had paying for anything, ever, and then they ruined my car (for those of you that don't know, they basically killed my car's safety system, so the airbags will not deploy if somebody hits me). I can't afford to get a new car right now (because I just paid y'all at Gillman 900$), I can't afford to fix my car's airbags, and my car inspection is due at the end of this month. Tl,Dr; I took my car to Gilllman to be looked at, they kept it for a week, and charged me an exorbitant amount to break my airbags while doing work I hadn't authorized, so now I drive a deathtrap that I can't make street legal, and if I get pulled over, I'll get arrested. Thanks Gillman Honda. I really hope someone at your company reads this and actually does something about it, because literally, what the xxxx More
