Jessica did a good job communicating and during the price negotiation. We finally came to an agreement on the price to sell my car to Gillman Acura. They were persistent to get my car the next day, Saturday negotiation. We finally came to an agreement on the price to sell my car to Gillman Acura. They were persistent to get my car the next day, Saturday, by meeting in the middle. This is where it went downhill. After I signed all the paperwork to release my car, I was informed I would not get my check and it would be ready on Monday. That should’ve been red flag number one, but I figure it’s a reputable dealership so I should have nothing to be worried about. Monday comes, I text Jessica asking if they could have my payoff check by noon since I would be in the area. Her reply was, finance does not open their doors until 3 PM. Red flag number two, when has financing not been available during the business hours?! I asked to have my check ready at 3 PM so I would be able to pick up and deposit and that’s where Jessica stated she would hate for accounting to drop the ball and not have it ready at 3 PM. She did offer to meet me up or drop off the check at my location, which I thought that was a great gesture. I shared I would be off and by 5 PM and she stated she would get back to me to confirm. As they got closer to five she messaged me and asked if she could meet me halfway. At this point I just wanted to get my check and move on so I agreed to a meeting spot. So the next day, I stopped by the bank to deposit the check and come to find out the funds were not available. At this point, I was fed up and reached out to the general manager to get some answers and to get this resolved. I spoke with Eduardo and he looked into the matter and found out accounting did not batch their end of day checks. So their problem became my problem and inconvenienced me. This cost me money and time because I wasn’t able to invest and earn positive income due to their lack of processes. And their final words is I’m sorry. Lesson learned for me of who I will not be doing future business or referring others. More
