Bad experience I was a little disappointed with my service at Gillespie dealership, I couldn't schedule my oil change over the phone for some reason and I was suppos I was a little disappointed with my service at Gillespie dealership, I couldn't schedule my oil change over the phone for some reason and I was suppose to get a free oil change and they charged me for it. Good Buying experience - Terrible Service I dropped off our 2016 Ford Explorer on a Monday at 10:30 AM for an Oil Change and Tire Rotation. I also asked if they could reattach the two elastic I dropped off our 2016 Ford Explorer on a Monday at 10:30 AM for an Oil Change and Tire Rotation. I also asked if they could reattach the two elastic straps on the driver seat that hold the lather down. At 2:30 PM we stopped to see if the car was ready.... they hadn't start on it..... They finally called after 5:30 PM to say it was ready, we were unable to pick it up till Tuesday morning due to a schedule conflict. The oil had been changed, but they didn't reset the "Oil Life" indicator, so we did that. The tires were rotated but over inflated to 45 pounds, factory calls for 35. The other problem was the airbag error indicator light was now on. Also of the two seat straps only one had been reattached. I called and asked if I could bring it back on Thursday at 10:00 and the service manager said yes. We dropped it off at 10:00 am... it is now 2:00 PM FRIDAY and we've not heard anything. I've called three times and each time all I get is an answering machine. RATING: "F" for service "F" for responsiveness. Although Gillespie is closer to our home we're going to check both the Libertyville and Antioch Ford Dealers . More

Carlos Malone alone deserves 5 stars! It started as a wonderful day for just shopping around, but Carlos was so helpful we ended up buying that day. Before we left, he even washed the car himself because the wash staff had left! That is great customer service!! We were there at least 3 hours, though, because we had to wait around to talk to "this person and then that person" after the deal was done and along the way our check got lost! We weren't aware of this until 2 weeks after we were home with the car. When I was called, the person didn't seem to be aware how to handle the problem. He said he would call back after checking the name spelling but did not. Several days later he called to ask me to reissue the check. I have to say, the most professional person is the newest guy, Carlos. "Too many chefs in the kitchen" More
