They had to change a part that included 4 wheel alignment but still tried to charge me. They told me my battery was bad, knowing that a notice had been put out by Subaru regarding their starling system had been killing g batteries. Yet Giles tried to charge me $496.00 for a new battery that should have been replaced free. I will never use Giles Subaru for anything. More
Mike and Troy sold my wife and I a Beautiful Truck and provided us the best deal possible. What was more impressive was service after the sale. Obviously they believe customer relationships through servic provided us the best deal possible. What was more impressive was service after the sale. Obviously they believe customer relationships through service is even more important than the sale. Thanks again, Rick and Annette 👍 More
I would give a zero if possible. My wife recently ordered a vehicle through Subaru and it was delivered to Giles Subaru in Lafayette, Louisiana. She was basically held hostage in the dealership for three hours! They would not let her pay for her vehicle and leave. She met with the salesman as well as the sales manager who aggressively continued to pressure her to buy packages and warranties she did not want. They would not release the vehicle! After three hours of being subjected to this, she started crying and walked out. Only at that point did they say they would take her payment and let her leave. More

He fixed everything that initially was desired. I am very impressed with how he handled everything. Although it took a lot of frustration, in the long run this dealership proved itself to be honorable and withstanding. I highly appreciate this call and, if anyone is having a negative experience or questions that just don't seem to be getting answered, I advise them to ask to speak to the president himself or call the cardboard life sized guy (the owner) standing right inside the doors (I missed him which is why this ended up taking so long to get established). The owners name is Bob Giles and his number is 337-210-9020. Thank you again to the president who turned this very negative experience into a positive one. Now.... it's time to thoroughly enjoy that Subaru! More
Looking fo something It took three months of looking around at different dealers but we came back to Subaru. Used the old bait and switch I was taking my future daughter-in-law to look at a used Subaru she saw online on Saturday. We were coming from New Orleans to Lafayette. About 20-30 I was taking my future daughter-in-law to look at a used Subaru she saw online on Saturday. We were coming from New Orleans to Lafayette. About 20-30 minus from the dealership she received a text that the car see was coming to see was sold Thursday morning. Mind you she was in contact with the salesman Thursday evening and he claimed he was looking at the vehicle. Once we got there he made excuses for the mistake but never really apologised. However he did have another used car with less miles and more amenities that of course cost more money. He also could put her into a new car that was priced about the same but less amenities. He also tried to sell the Giles extended warranty on the powertrain that could be serviced anywhere BUT required an annual visit to them for an inspection. They agreed to drop the price on the used car by $1,000 but it was only good for "right now". We got them to allow us to go to lunch and in the mean time they were to run her credit to see the interest rate she would qualify for so when we returned they would be able to tell us the monthly note. We went to lunch and came back. The salesman (Lucius)said they would not give him the figure and we would have to talk to the"finance guy". It took several minutes to meet with him and when we did he went into his sales spiel. Fortunately I saw the figure and told him it was not close (more money per month and a longer term) and we were leaving. He wanted to continue to give his sales pitch as Subaru requires it. I told him we would tell Subaru he did his job. He then said he would "sleep better" knowing he did his job. I told him we wouldn't sleep better listening to it and we were leaving. They had no problem changing the terms of the loan but never changed the price of the car. Lucuis was the classic characture of a car salesman. We wound up leaving there and buying a car in Hammond. And they warranty she received does NOT require her to visit a specific dealership. More
Not trustworthy. I tried to put a 10k deposit on the vehicle that I wanted, and that I had a loan for but Adam didn't want to accept it. They said they wouldn't hold I tried to put a 10k deposit on the vehicle that I wanted, and that I had a loan for but Adam didn't want to accept it. They said they wouldn't hold the car for me until the weekend. That should have been when I walked away. Still I drove for 2.5 hours to the dealership and discovered why, my APR was insane. (Understood I have been out of the country for 6 years and had no credit, but me and my fiance have the capacity to quickly pay it off quickly so we proceeded still.) After discussing pay off methods we started quickly signing off the stack of contract forms. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the contract was much more than what we agreed upon. There is a reason why they have a 'Policy" where they won't put the quote in writing or let you copy an itemized list of costs!! They are deceitful! When I questioned them about the cost they blamed each other and didn't get back in touch with me. Now 10 days later they are contacting me because they forgot to gather a phone number for my loan provider. I love my Impreza sport, but I regret buying it from this dealership. More

Awful Experience 3 Times My experience with Giles Subaru started in 2014. I was looking for a new car and really wanted a Subaru. They only wanted to give me $500 to trade in my Honda Accord. I ended up purchasing a jeep instead. Now fast forward to 2016. I decided to trade in the jeep. In April, I contacted Giles and had the pleasure of working with, Dwight (please note sarcastic tone). Any case, he said he would help me get the best trade in. Guess what he never called me back on anything. So in Aug of this year, I was really ready for the trade in to happen. So I went into the dealership to talk to someone different and get a value on the jeep. Go figure, they say "oh Dwight was helping you already so you get to work with him again". Yaay! They couldn't give me the value of the jeep while I was there but Dwight would send it later that day. No luck. I emailed the next morning. No response. I called and Dwight said that they would trade it in for $10k. Ha! Any case, Dwight has never been very helpful. It's obvious they do not work on commission. The way he treated me and even spoke to me. It is so apparent that they don't care about me or the sell. So I had to take my business to Baton Rouge and I am so glad that I did. I'm finally in an outback! And I love every min of it. I just had to look outside of Lafayette. I'm a mom in my 30's. You would think I would be the demo for Giles Subaru. They don't care. I definitely won't be getting my car serviced here either. I'll happily drive to Subaru of Baton Rouge. So if you just want to waste your time, please by all means visit here! They will definitely be able to help you! More
