The AC ran perfect up until I picked up car after they replaced my alternator. They agreed to check AC and told me compressor was bad which is suspicious because it was not mentioned in my diagnostic report, it worked prior to service visit, and they had to unplug the compressor to replace the alternator. They would not directly speak with me about this and keep giving me messages through my service adviser saying they are not liable and I will need to pay them an additional 1000 dollars to replace a compressor that they messed up. They refuse to fix their mistakes and have poorly qualified mechanics working for them who make costly negligent mistakes. Got stuck with a 1000 dollar bill to replace an alternator and break my AC compressor. No mention of compressor in diagnostic report that was given to me before any repairs were made. So now I have to bring my car to a more honest mechanic and pay myself to fix my AC that they broke so my newborn will have a safe vehicle to ride in during summer heat. Shame on you Nissan. More

Took 3 trips to the dealership (100+ miles for us) to be done with them and I mean DONE. They never did fix the mess they made detailing it (burned swirl marks into the paint). We brought it home and cleaned the interior ourselves. Their detail shop is a joke. After the sale the salesman didn’t want to deal with us. He took forever to return a phone call or didn’t call back at all. The only reason I gave 1 star was the lady in the service dept (Vickie) was super nice/helpful. More

Normal engine vibrations! Also tell me two mounts are broken so will be almost $2,000. Being single mom can’t afford that so corporate agrees to pay some of the cost. Bring car in for work say mounts aren’t broken just screw and bracket. 6 months later now the mount is completely broken and also get informed screw was stripped bc they stripped it changing compressor on ac. So of course mount is broken now bc it’s been holding all the extra weight bc they didn’t wanna say they stripped a screw. Now want $800 from me to fix this! Everyone makes mistakes just say that and make it right. Over here only thing they are good at is screwing over customer every way possible!!! More

RUN!!!! Purchased "lifetime power train warranty". Covers absolutely nothing. According to the owners manual 12,000 miles is a lifetime for many items. In order to honor warranty made me get every oil change there, tire rotation every other oil change as well as having to get every cabin filter and transmission flush done there for a ridiculous price. Recently Giles Nissan in Lafayette has quit forcing me to have mandatory services such as transmission flush done there so I inquired to see if I still had one. The service department couldn't tell me. So after asking 2 separate occasions on the Nissan website, providing vin number, etc. I was told to give them my email and they would contact me. I asked when that would be and they said "as soon as possible". That was over 2 weeks ago. Recently my car has begun to jerk and shudder when accelerating after slowing down. I have been told I needed to replace my battery on a few occasions (once 2 months after I installed new one) and when I brought it somewhere else to be checked it was completely fine. *****best one****i had my oil changed and they told be I had to have my brakes flushed (to keep that "warranty"). So i did and coughed up $295.00. Next time I went for an oil change they fed me the same line, and said my break fluid looked really dirty, to which i replied "that's funny i had them flushed at my last oil change 3,000 miles prior." The man then went in the garage and talked to some employees and apologized for the misunderstanding. **** so either they never flushed them and they truly looked bad are they are scamming people. Either way take your money elsewhere. Acadiana Dodge has truly wonderful warranties that cover almost everything, Chevy has free oil changes, you'll save thousands compared to at nissan. Toyota honors oil changes elsewhere as long as you keep paperwork. More
Incompetent Service advisors I brought my vehicle in for a check engine light and oil light on. They diagnosed the vehicle very quickly and told me that it needed a complete engin I brought my vehicle in for a check engine light and oil light on. They diagnosed the vehicle very quickly and told me that it needed a complete engine flush and a bunch of other things done to it to make it right. They wanted to charge me over $1000 to do this. I contacted the dealer that I bought it from because I trusted them. I bought the vehicle out of state so the dealer was about 3hrs away. They contacted Giles nissan and went over the problem with them, after talking with them they told me to go pick up the car and they would come get it from me and take care of it. They drove right down picked it up and left me a car to drive. They had it diagnosed at a mechanic shop in their local town and realized that all it needed was an oil change. Literally cost me $60 to have it fixed. Giles nissan were trying to take advantage of my lack of knowledge about vehicles and after the dealer I bought the car from contacted them they realized the same thing. That is why they went over and beyond to help me. My vehicle has low mileage and only couple years old. not an old vehicle. Buyer Be Ware of Giles Nissan. Get second opinion. More
