Not happy at all dropped my car off to have the ABS serviced and read the codes from my dash to the lady helping me in before picking up my car she had called me and told me that they needed another fi serviced and read the codes from my dash to the lady helping me in before picking up my car she had called me and told me that they needed another five and a half hours to diagnose what was wrong with my car and in the 4 hours they had my car had diagnosed a o2 sensor in speed sensor which has nothing to do with my ABS system wasted $159 and told me what I already knew More

And unfortunately he signed a $1500 estimate to fix the A/C. After swapping the radiator and a couple of gaskets ($300 in parts) they charged me nearly $1200 in labor, how is that justified? The truck was dropped off at 1:00pm and it was ready the next morning at 8:00am, given that their service hours are 7:30am-5:00pm, they only had the truck for 4 1/2 hrs, $1200 in labor??? It was a frustrating experience to get my car repaired at Gilchrest Chevrolet. Had scheduled an repair appointment for a factory recall issue. The day I took it in the check engine light came on and it was Gilchrest Chevrolet. Had scheduled an repair appointment for a factory recall issue. The day I took it in the check engine light came on and it was about an unrelated problem. The check engine light problem required a part that was back ordered. They didn't have an estimate of when the part would come in. I waited a week before checking the part's status. The frustrating part was that the phone receptionist said the person I needed to talk to about my car status was Chuck. Unfortunately Chuck was always busy, they took messages for him, and rarely did he call back. I just wanted to know if the part was in. I should have talked to the service manager sooner. After 2 weeks find out from Chunk, one of the rare times he return my call, that the back ordered part was in, that my car would be ready the next day. When I called the next day to see if my car was ready, was told that no one was working on it since Chuck took the day off. The next morning Chuck was too busy to talk to me. Did talk to the acting Service Manager, his excuse about why my car was not ready was that Chuck took Thursday off. But Chuck is not the guy that does the actual repairs. He is just the guy that represents Gilchrest Chevrolet and it is strange that the company requires Chuck to be present to follow thru on a Gilchrest promise. Also got the impression that the back ordered part was in and collecting dust. That Gilchrest was not going to automatically fix my car with the back ordered part. They would wait till I call in and complained. What a way to run a business. They did fix the car for both problems. The car is working fine. It was just a really frustrating process. I should of asked for the service manager sooner. More
