Gibson Truck World

Wanted a big truck, got a big truck. I was looking for a truck with a higher towing capacity than what I currently had. Some of my requirements were diesel engine, 5th wheel capable with I was looking for a truck with a higher towing capacity than what I currently had. Some of my requirements were diesel engine, 5th wheel capable with nice to haves such as a little lift and maybe some good looking aftermarket wheels and tires. I had viewed the inventory online and went in initially to test drive the GMC 3500 Denali dually they had in stock. I had also viewed several of the 2500s they had. Vince took the dually off the show rack and we went for a ride. By the way, Vince is very personable, easy to get along with and willing to take the time to show and discuss with me what I was looking for and needed, besides chatting about camping, kayaking, surfing and generally just being outside! During the drive I lost some of my zest to get such a beast as the 3500. Yes I will probably get a 5th wheel trailer, but I’m not going for something as big as a house and did’t necessarily need the biggest truck they had! It rode well but it’s size was going to make my travel around my downtown Orlando home somewhat difficult. I would have certainly had to also buy an old small car just to go get groceries. So I decided I wanted to look at some other stuff. Vince and I also talked about the traveling I want to do in it and he pointed out maybe non dually big truck would be a better fit, I agreed. So a couple laps around the lot, a couple more test drives and I found, with Vince’s help a good fit for me. This was a couple hours of Vince’s time since I can be somewhat picky and like to look at stuff multiple times. Did I mention it was close 400 degrees outside! Of course it had all the gadgets that I liked...and was pricey! After a few rounds of negotiations I think I got a great deal, got what I thought my trade was worth and payment that I can live with. Vince did go above and beyond by removing my kayak rack from my trade in and installing it onto my new 2017 Silverado 2500 Duramax. I definitely recommend Gibson’s (this is my 2nd truck from there) and especially Vince! More
